BengalByTheBay
I rarely get suckered in by Hobson's fluff pieces, but this one compelled me. I'm rooting for the guy -- especially if he can plant Roethlisberger in the field turf head first.
BlainThePain
That was a good read. It really has me pulling for him now.
rishipatel
You just have to root for this guy after reading why he left school early. Can't fault a guy for wanting to put a roof over his family's head.
Stripes
Hard not to root for a CFL guy. It'll be very difficult for him to make the team as a linebacker, but who knows.
schweinhart
It's always good to read about the bubble players who have everything to gain and everything to lose because they got real life problems and family depending on them -- guys like Jeanty and Eric Henderson. This type of players probably has a higher level of motivation to succeed and will leave it all on the field and not in their boat, limo or crack pipe.I look forward to watching what Jeanty and Henderson do in preseason because it's do or die time for them. AMC
I think Jeanty is in, no doubt...While Jeanty's situation is not unique it is admirable. The regret he had over not being able to get his degree shows me a good sense of maturity....
bengalboomer7
You gotta watch Hobson, This time of year he's throws out a bunch of these stories. But you can't help but root for a guy like that.
Dadraftnick
Jenty should be on the final roster. He is good and will get plenty of reps to show it in preseason.Dont be surprised if you see either Dorsey or Whithead as the 3rd RB for a whole bunch or reasons.Watson will start costing more money because, of his time in the league and there is no need to waste extra cap money on a 3rd sting RB.Watson has had his his leg injuried and Marvin has made a habbit of cutting guys that are injured. Both guys are really good and can contribute on special teams.Dorsey may have more potential but is green as grass so my guess is they give Whithead the spot and try to sneak Dorsey in on the taxi squad. He is an average RB, a good 3rd down back, a more than capable pass blocker and an above average STeamer.I dont think this is the season to risk having a rookie RB the last blocking option for Carson. And last but not least I dont want anyone on the Bengals named DEE-DEE, what's happening Rog. HairOnFire
Just for the permanent record, I'm still in favor of trading Chris Perry to the Jets.
