AGrizzlyBaer
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/58348387. BengalsThe Bengals ranked first in the league in pass defense against opposing running backs, and their linebackers deserve much of the credit. Odell Thurman, Brian Simmons, and Landon Johnson are great fits in Marv Lewis' zone-coverage system, and Thurman is developing into one of the league's best middle linebackers.Unfortunately, pass defense is just half of a linebacker's job, and the Bengals did a lousy job of stopping the run last year. Their front four shoulders much of the blame, but the Bengals lack a big thumper who can fill the hole. David Pollack replaced Johnson at the end of last season but is more of a situational blitzer than a full-time starter. With Thurman suspended for four games, Pollack will start on the strong side while Simmons moves to the middle. Rookie Ahmad Brooks may play a role right away. They really think highly of our line backers
Stripes
Nice to see. Proves they aren't idiot dirty Bengal haters after the DL ranking.
The_Next_Big_Thing
Bengals lack a big thumper? Isnt' that why we signed Beerbelly?
JaxonFord87
Sam Adams has yet to play a down for us, so we will have to see the impact he will have this season. He won't be here too long though. We still need to find a young, big guy for the middle. Hopefully some of our young players on the roster will do just fine. rishipatel
When you think about our potential LB rotation, it's almost scary...I mean, assuming all the "problem" guys stay with the team, you have Simmons, Pollack, Thurman, Brooks, Johnson, Nicholson, Jeanty, Miller, and then the less relevant guys/Special teams guys. I realize that it's highly unlikely we keep all of them, but still, it's gotta put a smile on your face.
Kazkal
I'd be willing to accept the change to 3-4 If the bengals got Patrick willis in the draft near year that LB corps would be insane!Brooks-willis-Odell-Pollack http://youtube.com/watch?v=_bM4sEmaFLQ&...atrick%20willisno matter how crappy our line is plays would be getting made.
