The Bengals have 2 National TV pre-season games.

I dont know if someone has posted this subject or not but, I bring it up because Marvin has told Carson that he must play in 2 pre season games in order to start the regular season.

There is a 99% chance that the 2 pre season games that Carson plays in will be the National TV games.

That said, here is the pre season schedule:

He has pretty much said he won't play in the first two. I'm expecting him to play a limited amount in the GB game, and then for a drive or two against back-ups in the Colts game. That's just my guess though.

If he's going to be the starter vs KC then I'm guessing he'll get a lot more snaps than that the last two preseason games.

We'll see. I imagine most of his action will be against GB if he's going to start against KC. Maybe the first half?

Then he'll go in for a couple of drives in Indy to keep the rust off... but the 4th pre-season game is the game you play back-ups almost the entire time, so I wouldn't expect him in there for more than a quarter.

There is a 99% chance that the 2 pre season games that Carson plays in will be the National TV games.

This doesn't make sense. Especially considering that the televised games are #1 (Washington) and #3 (Green Bay).

You really think Marvin cares about TV ratings when getting his team (and QB) ready for the regular season?

Aint Carson supposed to get only 20 snaps in the entire Pre-Season?

This also doesn't make sense.

First of all, 20 snaps is an arbitrary number. What if he runs a 10 play drive on the first possession of Game 1? Do you hold him out the next 2, and play him in Game 4 so he's not rusty for KC?

Second, this isn't a normal situation, where the starting QB is well-established and needs to be held out for his own protection. Carson is going to need pre-season snaps as part of his rehabilitation. If Marvin holds Carson back in the preseason, it's because he doesn't intend to start him Week 1. Not good in my book.
