derekshank
Kilmer played S in college for 1 year then switched to WR last year. He was listed as a WR in the draft but the Bengals are going to try him back at safety. His best chance at making the team as a gunner on STs though.Correction... Kilmer's ONLY chance at making the team is as a gunner on STs. He wasn't even good enough at WR or S to play for Penn State. That said... he was such a huge factor on ST's that I expect him to have no trouble making the team. But back on the KW topic... I think it has less to do with his skills as a receiver but his annoying antics. For whatever reason, his dance just tends to rub people the wrong way. Chad, as much as a showboat as he is, still manages to make it seem fun and harmless. KW's dancing seems like he's rubbing it in... and because he has so few opportunites to do the dance, he has to do it on seemingly irrelevant catches, and celebrating mediocrity just isn't appealing.People like Chad's antics, and dislike KW's. It may be a bit of a double-standard, but that's just the way it is. Life is full of double-standards, and I'm not losing any sleep over this one. I'm sure the general dislike for KW and his dance will subside if he can come in and catch a half-a-dozen TD's, and actually make a meaningful contribution... but in the mean time, his antics get on my (and seemingly a high number of other Bengals fans) nerves. sparky151
I too could do without the dancing after a 6 yard catch on 2nd and 5. KW is a much more solid citizen than cheech though.
jditty47
ya but i bet ppl like henry more, especially his teammates. kw just seems like a drag to an extent. and i like how we have a ST's ace...or are looking for a permanent ace...remember that guy on the bills back in the day...he went to mulitple probowl just for laying ppl out on kick and punt coverage. he was a big reason for their success - field position is critical. MacD BengalFan
I'm telling you, we cut Henry and another team will pick him up and if he keeps his head out of his ass, he'll be a pro-bowler !!!WHODEY !!!I don't disagree with ya, but sometimes even that isn't enough. T.O. is a pro bowler and the Iggles couldn't throw him out fast enough. Like I said earlier, I'm more than fine with Henry and KW being cut. I'm ready to ride with Brazell the Gazelle, Slash McNeal, and Speedy Chatman. The difference is T.O split the locker room into 2 sides. Those that supported him and those who supported Donovan. That is why the Iggles couldn't dump T.O. fast enough. Chris Henry will not divide the team as T.O. did, and as long as he continues to accel on the field plus stay out of jail, the Bengals will have 3 Pro Bowl WR's in the coming years. Plus, the Bengals will not cut Henry unless they want a bigger mess on their hands.
HairOnFire
In regards to Henry, a better comparison might be made with Koren Robinson. His level of talent is undisputed, but the Vikings eventually had to give up on him due to his habit of showing up at meetings and practices blatantly drunk. As soon as Robinson's cap hit became modest the Vikings cast him off, and predictibly he was greedily snatched up by the Seahawks.

If he has, then I can see this becoming a problem. But as of yet, this has not occured and I don't think it will occur. I hope that Chris has turned the corner and realized that he has learned from his past transgressions and realized his future is as stake and start walking the straight and narrow. ArmyBengal
If put on the field with no issues, I'll take Henry over Robinson any day of the week !!! Then again, I'm a bit of a homer !!!WHODEY !!!

He has the tools to play in the NFL but is about as raw as they come. Right now he is the draft pick that interests me the most and I really want to see him make the team. It would just be such a great story, or rather, it would add to what is already a great story.
Stripes
I think Kilmer is headed to the practice squad. He could make it over Mitchell, but with safety depth already in question, I doubt it.
