BengalChamps
Rain delayed the opening game against the Brewers by almost 3 hours. When i heard the game was gonna start at 10:05pm i hustled down to the park. Parked for free!! ( My parking spot is a secret) Got $5.oo seats for me and a daughter. Ended up sitting 4 rows behind the Reds dugout. Cool! The announced attendance was 19,000 but there had to be less than that. Between 10-14,000. Saw one of my coworkers on the "kiss cam". (that should good for some goodnatured ribbing later) Then Griffey hit a baseloaded walkoff double to win the game in the bottom of the 9th. Wow! Game ended around 1:15am. It was a really fun night! Player4
I've got a somewhat similar story. My very first ever trip to GABP was on a beautiful Friday night in late June. We were playing the Indians. EZ got pounded early and just like that we're down 7-1. We started chipping away and by the bottom of the ninth we were down 3 with 2 on and 2 outs. Wickman was wild and it looked like Lopez might draw a walk. I leaned over and told my wife that I hoped Lopez would walk to load the bases for Dunn...I told her that I had a feeling he would hit it out.You all know what happened next. Lopez did walk and Dunn drove a line drive over the right field wall for the walk-off grand slam. The stadium went nuts. There were spontaneous high-fives from strangers all around. We all knew we had just witnessed something special. To top it off, there was an awsome fireworks display after the game.Good times.
