UofLnMU
Phillips has gotten jobbed, and IMO Griffey should have been on the fan ballot.
Smackdown625
I think Phillips should have gotten in instead of 3B Miguel Cabrera from the Marlins. The NL team has too many 3B, & there's no way all 4 of them are going to get a chance to play. And as far as Griffey goes, I could've sworn that I heard them say the other day that he finished 4th in votes for OF, so I have no clue as to why he's not on the team.... MacD BengalFan
Phillips has gotten jobbed, and IMO Griffey should have been on the fan ballot.Grif was on the fan ballot and finished fourth for outfielders in the voting. He should have been selected as a backup as he deserves it. Jerry should have made a formal protest to Phil Garner for not selecting him as a replacement. And yes, Phillips should have made the team as well. I am glad Arroyo did make the team and it is well deserved. But can anyone tell me how 4 Braves made the team but only 1 Red was able to make it? Talk about biased!!!

UofLnMU
Well, I think that looking for Aaron Harang on the roster is just getting greedy. To have a pitching-starved team like the Reds to have two pitchers would be a joke. Who knows, maybe a few folks will drop out for Phillips and Griffey to get on there. Arroyo has a slightly better ERA 2.79 to 3.65. Harang has given up 1 less homer 12 to 13 .... He's had 1 more walk 30 to 29 and He ( Harang ) has 112 K's compared to Arroyos 95.We've got 2 pretty good starters. We need a 3rd and we got to get some relief from somewhere. I think the main thing that Arroyo has that Harang doesn't is name recognition thanks to playing for the Red Sox.But you are right ............ I am greedy. I'd like to see the Reds account for about 90% of the All stars ..... win the Division and the Series. And Then ........ I'd like to see the Bengals go undefeated and win the Super Bowl. Yeah ...... i'd pretty much like to have everything ........ I'm also into instant gratification, so could I have that now please ??????? ArmyBengal
Gotta love the fact we are now wanting a 3rd starter to go with our two good ones, when forever we've been asking for one good one to begin with !!!WHODEY !!!

That's because now we're trying to get into the post season, and then we were trying to get out of ...... last place. It was also becasue we usually didn't have a good one to begin with. UofLnMU
Hell, while we're asking, let's unfreeze Ted Williams...or at least unfreeze his head and stick it on Adam Dunn's body. If he only had a smattering of plate discipline....

If he only had a smattering of plate discipline....On the contrary, I think Dunn has too much plate discipline. He doesn't swing at many bad pitches at all, but he lays off on too many good ones. jditty47
arroyo pitched the 4th inning i believe in the allstar game...gave up a hit but didnt give up a run. NL ended up losing 3-2 in the top of the 9th on a triple by Michael Young scoring 2.
ArmyBengal
Yep, at least he didn't give up a run !!! Hoffman (2nd all time in saves) blew it in the top of the 9th, giving up 2 runs and got the loss...WHODEY !!!
