Who Dey Time
http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/9514769The NFL Network has agreed with more cable providers to offer their network. I called Time Warner Cable to see if TWC Cincinnati is part of this agreement and the rep told me that, as far as she knew, they were not picking up the network.TWC officially sucks. I think I'm going DirecTV shopping this weekend!WHO-DEY!
ArmyBengal
San Antonio's TWC doesn't have the NFL network either. THE 9TH LARGEST CITY IN THE COUNTRY CAN'T GET NFL NETWORK ??? What the F*CK is that about ?? I hate TWC as well !!!WHODEY !!!
Dirk Funk
I have had direct TV now for over 5 years. I have logged way too many hours on the couch because of it. The service and digital quality always kicked the crap out of Time Warner. Just make sure you have a clear opening, at 41 degrees, southwest of your home. I also purchase the Sunday Ticket in HD(I live in Indy so all I can see are the f-ing Colts or Bears) which is like football on a whole other level. Also, the NFL Network channel might be the coolest thing ever. They even make the NFL Combine look like Jesus Christ Superstar.
ArmyBengal
I have no line of sight for Direct TV, so I'm just screwed and explains why I end up at the bar every Sunday !!!Maybe that's not such a bad thing !!! WHODEY !!!

Kirkendall
I fired off an e-mail a while back ago and got this response.Unfortunately, we cannot disclose any information regarding potential future programming. However, we do continually evaluate the programming that is offered. We will continue to add channels as situations become favorable. We thank you for your correspondence, as we do utilize this information to influence programming changes.Apparently there's more demand for:TVOneEWTNOutdoorAZN TV (WTF is that?!)INSPSoccer (there's a f**king soccer channel?????)OvationLifetime, Real Women (so the oroginal life time isn't with real women?)Ass clowns. It's all about negotiation, not customer demand (no playboy, therefore I conclude that it's not about demand)When is someone going to file an anti-trust suit against Time Warner for monpolizing the region? Ass clowns.

PMThor
I just moved into my new house. Cancelled my TWC from my old place because they don't have NFL network and OLN (Tour de France freak). I am just waiting to find a good deal, to find a good company that will hook me up and give me a bunch of free crap.Surprisingly, I don't really miss cable much at all. Casey
TWC Sucks! But, that's what happens when you have a monopoly on the market. You can pretty much do anything you want and people can either pay you or do without. Thank God for DirecTv.
Kirkendall
Surprisingly, I don't really miss cable much at all.See that's the difference between you and I.. I need my fix of Adult Swim. (yes, for THAT EXACT reason)
andybren
Once NFL Network starts showing regular season games (December?) cable companies won't have a choice. Either that or lose their football fans wholesale. Those of us who no longer live in our "hometowns" are used to the situation, but once people can't see their local teams, heads will roll. ArmyBengal
The Dish needs a direct line of sight to the southern sky as well if that is your problem like me !!!WHODEY !!!

So that really wouldn't become an issue for local fans.
BigBenBlows
You will not regret getting Direct TV. I, like Dirk Funk live in the Indy area so it's about the only way to see the Bengals. I not in to the bar scene so it's worth it to me. Plus my wife likes the Bengals too so we watch it together. Also TIVO is nice because we have a 2 1/2 year old daughter, you can pause the game for up to 30 min. The Sunday Ticket is WELL worth the money!! So that really wouldn't become an issue for local fans. You're right. Here's the quote from NFL.comBy NFL policy, NFL Network games will also be carried on free, over-the-air television in the city of the visiting team and in the city where the game is played if it is sold out 72 hours in advance of kickoff. But if you look at the last 3 games...Week 16: Th., Dec. 21 at 8 p.m. ET: Minnesota at Green BayWeek 16: Sat., Dec. 23 at 8 p.m. ET: Kansas City at OaklandWeek 17: Sat., Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. ET: N.Y. Giants at Washington ...you have to wonder if there won't also be interested parties in Chicago, San Diego and Dallas, if their respective division championships are on the line. NYBengalfan
Direct TV is the way to go. You get the NFL Network and NFL Sunday Ticket is the greatest thing since.........well...Marvin Lewis.
Indycat
Like Dirk Funk and BigBenBlows, I'm a Bengal fan living in Indianapolis. I've had Time Warner cable, Brighthouse cable, Dish Network and Direct TV.Direct TV is without a boubt the best of the bunch. Sunday Ticket is football heaven for out of state Bengal fans.
Casey
Yeah, if you go with satellite, it has to be DirecTV. For a displaced Bengals fan, there is nothing like the Sunday Ticket. I got it for the first time last year and don't know how I survived without it for so long.
HoTbOy
As everyone has said Direct TV is the way to go, I got rid of TWC about 4 years and will never look back, they suck...they don't offer the NFL Network here either...I had a problem with the sight to the satillite also, they moved the dish to another part of the house and the rest is history...my satillite may have went down about 2-3 times since I've had it with severe lightning storms, but otherwise no problems....
Casey
One of the big misconceptions people have about satellite is that it goes down every time the weather gets a little bad, which is absolutely untrue. It takes a huge thunderstorm cell with a lot of lightning or very heavy rain for the signal to be lost. If you do lose the signal, it is only for 15-20 minutes. When I had TWC, there were times I was without service for over an hour waiting for the techs to come out and get the cable up again after a thunderstorm would knock it out. With satellite, once the storm passes, you get a clear signal again.
