schnarfer
After watvhing Carson's mini camp performance I have to say that I am starting to believe the hype in him not only beating incredible odds on returning in just eight months from a serious kneee injury...but being the type of leader that has the dedication to winning. He is a freak of nature..6'5 230 can run a 4'8....There is noone in the league that I could replace Carson's contribution ot the team..Cincinati is going to rally along side there leader all season..If we play our game with carson and an emergin defense...we will be in place to go deep into the playoffs and from there its in gods hands but we got a as good a chance as anyone this year...Here's to mid-june and still Afc north champs...who-dey

I'm sure there will be some minor setbacks along the way, there almost has to be given how severe the injury was, but I firmly believe Carson will be ready to go Week 1 and leading the team onto the field at KC. HoosierCat
Tidbit buried at the bttom of Hobson's piece on the Georgetown extension today...Lewis also said during today's luncheon that quarterback Carson Palmer could play in Cincinnati's first preseason game (Aug. 13 vs. Washington at PBS), but no decision has been made definitively. ArmyBengal
I would like to see him take very few snaps during the preseason games. The last thing I want is to see him take a minimal hit and get broke off when the same hit wouldn't have been an issue 4 weeks later. Patience patience !!!WHODEY !!! I thought a remark Lewis made more than a month ago was more interesting. He stated that the Bengals had a rehab schedule that was written immediately after Palmer's injury, and it included playing him in at least one unspecified preseason game. The fact that Lewis now claims Palmer could play in the very first preseason game is interesting as it points to Palmer possibly being ahead of the Bengals own optimistic plans. But it's been obvious for quite some time now that the source with the greatest information about Palmers injury and rehab, the Bengals themselves, have always believed that Palmer would be capable of playing in a preseason football game prior to the regular season opener. I would like to see him take very few snaps during the preseason games. The last thing I want is to see him take a minimal hit and get broke off when the same hit wouldn't have been an issue 4 weeks later. Patience patience !!! I doubt Palmer would have gotten much preseason work this year even if he hadn't been injured. After all, each of the backup positions is unsettled and would have needed plenty of sorting out. It's likely that he would have played only a series or two in a couple of games and might have been held out of one altogether. Frankly, that may be exactly what we're looking at this year. jditty47
i hope he gets atleast a couple series in every preseason game - at the beginning vs starters who know its preseason. he needs reps and live play with his knee before it really matters. if it doesnt hold up then atleast we have time to fix it, if it happens early in the season it could be devestating.
