walzav29
I would imagine that they wouldn't let him play if it wasn't healed. On the other hand I think there is thought among the team that they could throw the season away if he's not around. If he does get hurt again early that will wipe out this year as well as next. I'm spooked.

I'm spooked.I heard that they are going to try and get him at least 20 snaps in the last 2 preseason games depending if he's ready or not. If he doesn't play in the preseason at all than most likely he won't be our opening day QB.

The_Next_Big_Thing
Walshfan has it right. Whether he was injured or not, I'd still be nervous about him getting hurt in the preseason. If his real doctor says he can go, he will.
bengalboomer7
It scares me to say this, but we'll just have to trust the training staff.
walzav29
There are 3 injuries that jump in my mind when I think of rushing back. Jamal Anderson, Ickey Woods, and Jerry Rice. They all either tore their other ACL or in Jerry's case I think he cracked his kneecap on the bad knee. Either way I would hate to risk it, but this will be the funnest season ever if Palmer is a 100%, because there will be so many good games. ShulaSteakhouse
Well either the knee, come preseason, is solid/sound and healed, or it's not. I'd rather him have a set-back in preseason, than in the early regular season. But of course they will limit his snaps in preseason regardless if he's ready. Also, the thing about preseason games is that he won't have to take chances, scramble or hold onto the ball too long - just get rid of it and get your work in, and play cautiously until it counts. schweinhart
It's been the beginning of a big buzz just to see Palmer already moving the way he has w/o reports of swelling. If he keeps it up, he'll get his during the pre-season and it'll be a sight to see. A capable Palmer from Game 1 and the Bengals can start a Super Bowl run again this year. W/o him, the odds go up that they find themselves too deep in a hole from the start to make a bid at the end of the year.
Kirkendall
I'd be more nervous if he couldn't play in the preseason due to rehabbing. At this point, I'm taking my "caution" concern and replacing it with ass-kicking the Steelers joy. Just MHO.
BengalsMan3203
He has to play sometime.......
