agreen_112
Update: The movie tanked! Barely made what they spent on the film, if that. Samuel Jackson is one of the worst actors out there and hasn't played a good role since Pulp Fiction.... This has to prove that major marketing on the web doesn't work. You still have to make a good movie for it to sell. Snakes on a plane has to be up for the worst movie of the year a.k.a "The Razzi". agreen_112
Meh, people have bad taste!Your just mad becuause your prediction failed. As far as taste goes, I think anyone who would be fooled into paying to see this film has the bad taste. Go check out that new Leo dicaprio, Matt Damon, Marc Wahlberg, jack Nicholson film "the departed" it's even directed by Scorsese. That's my kind of taste! What's your favorite movies all time? Stripes
Just seems like people miss the point with Snakes on a Plane. It's not one of those cheesy action movies that sucks horribly like Speed. It's a comedy!I'm skeptical the movie bombed too, by all accounts I heard it was #1 at the box office for at least a short time.

It's a comedy!I'm skeptical the movie bombed too, by all accounts I heard it was #1 at the box office for at least a short time.It did open at number one, but if I remember right it was the worst week of the year and it still made like five million dollars less than was projected for it. agreen_112
The movie opened at #1 because it came out on thursday night and by the end of the weekend it tanked. It only made 15.25 million dollars. If you don't count thursday night then it made only 13.85 which puts it behind Talledega Nights in it's third week making 14.1 million. The movie has made up some ground though, it looks like it has made over 90 mil, maybe I'll see it when it come to DVD.
