The_Next_Big_Thing
For those of us who have no speakers, what's so interesting?
GROIIIDayton
I listened to it yesterday and he talked about how good Askew looked and how convinced he was that Carson would be ready by the opener. Very good interview though you should find a way to listen to it.
HoTbOy
Saying how we are being rated low because of CPalmer and that if he was healthy we may be SB favorites..saying how CPalmer was playing BBall dribbling ball between his legs...commenting on DPollack possible broken leg from PFT saying he has been wearing boot for a couple of weeks...saying the D had been playing with a swagger in the OTA's and seeing them being much better... AMC
him praising askew? mybe he wants out My thoughts exactly....He is praising someone that would take his spot. Maybe he's just a nice guy, but with Sam Adams and Peko added, JT and Askew are fighting for the same spot.Or maybe he is propping Askew to help him get a new job after the Bengals release him???? Who knows?
turningpoint
lol JT will be starting next year alongside Sam Adams...you guys are retarded to think other wise.
GROIIIDayton
turningpoint must be marvin or the new coach with that info.

The_Next_Big_Thing
Smith will be the guy next to Big Sam.

I don't know about the whole "retarded" thing, but I agree that Thornton will start. Smith will rotate with Adams at his spot, and I think the guy that really needs to worry about Askew is Bryan Robinson.
kingwilly
I think Thornton may get cut...salary cap..age...productivity...all working against him...to think otherwise is RETARDED.Smith, Peko, Fanene, Askew (can't believe I'm typing his name as I think he also could get cut) all could find time in his place.A DT rotation with Adams, Robinson, Fanene, Smith, Peko and Askew is not that terrible...and Thornton will join a long list of cut Bengals with no job...a la Hardy, Ross, Williams, GIbson...etc.

That was a bad move on Marvin's part.
kingwilly
Steve Foley works in a 3-4 system. I don't consider his being cut a big mistake...last time I checked the Chargers didn't make the playoffs last year. He had decent stats and has revived his career in SD but would not necessarily make this D any better...

But Marvin seems to feel JT/BRobinson have been pretty solid. One guy who I like but who for whatever reason it seems like Marvin might not be so wild about is Shaun Smith. It seems like Marvin HATES to put the guy in and does so kind of as a last resort. If there's a DT worried about being cut, I'd put my money on Smith. Anyone else get that impression?
