While I was at work today, a guy that plays WR at Miami of Ohio came in. I talked to him about John Busing. He said the guy is a unbelieveable athlete and he thought he should have played safety in college. He said the guy is the real deal, and that he should have no problem changing positions. He also said that is probably good that we didn't draft Martin Nance because in his words "He was nowhere near the same guy after his knee injury..." He thiks he will still be a NFL player, but he isn't as good as he was.

:sure:

Busing seemed like a good prospect coming out of The Other U. I doubt he does anything of note while in stripes, but it'd be nice to see a local guy have some success here.

Did the person you talked to perhaps have anything to say about Butler High School alum and Indianapolis Colt, Josh Betts?

He just listed off a couple guys that got offers as undrafted free agents...one of which was Betts. He thinks he should latch on in the NFL somewhere.

I talked to Betts the other day and he said that he is going against the UCLA backup QB for the third QB position for the Colts. The Colts typically only carry two QBs with one on the PS, but Dungy has indicated he plans on keeping three this year.
