Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward had some interesting words on coach Bill Cowher in this week's Sports Illustrated: "I don't have anything to say to him. After what he did to me, after how he treated me, no. The numbers I put up? The seasons I had, for them to keep on bringing in guys ... ?" Ward's a pro and this will blow over, but it should make for fun copy.

If you read the article, they ask Ward how he felt after the team spent two first round draft picks on WR's when they drafted Burress and Troy Edwards in the years after they drafted him. He said he felt slighted and it motivated him. They asked what he had to say to Cowher about it and he made the "I dont have anything to say to him" quote. This is all about stuff that happened 5 years ago.. Pretty much a non story.

Holmes was not brought there to take wards job he was brought there to compliment ward and then take over once ward is done . it just shows how ignorant ward is getting pissed because the steelers got some much needed help you don't here chad and tj pulling this crap with the addictions the Bengals have added at w/r position. henery, tab chattman, mcneal and brazzell . just show his true colors

The story is dated in 2006, and even referenced "this week's" issue. This is recent. I saw it mentioned on Sportscenter as well.

This is old news, there's no beef between Ward & Cowher. That happened about 4 or 5 years ago. They're on the same page, and everything is cool. There's nothing to be concerned about, it's old.....

Did anyone else happen to read the ESPN insider article on Ward and how the Super Bowl MVP has gone to his head.

It was referring to a story they tried to do on Ward when he traveled to Korea, and Ward said that he wouldn't do the story unless it was a cover story. He also had some interesting words for Peyton Manning. It's a real eye opening read.

Hines is upset with Troy Edwards & Plaxico Burress for being too cocky to let him help them make their transition to the NFL. All he said about Peyton Manning is "Peyton Manning isn't as lucky as me right now, I have a ring and he doesn't"....It's just the media making a big deal of nothing because there's nothing to talk about.

I do think Ward is a good WR, but he's viewed (at least by myself) as a whiny little b*tch. I guess those outside of Cincy think Chad is another T.O., so who knows...

Can we say cocky? arrogant? give a guy a super bowl ring, than he begins to think he is the leader of the pack. Ward maybe a good blocking WR but in my opinion def does not have the best hands or speed. You'd think this guy would be basking in the sun with his first and last super bowl ring he will ever have, instead he is crying like a woman. Something els to complain about, would you like cheese with that wine?

He's crying because the drafted other guys since he has been there. But he would be the first to complain if they didn't have guys to take the pressure off of him when he gets double teamed.
