bengalsfansince68
I have a list of combine scouting profiles with grades for various aspects of football play. The lowest grade that is considered a good NFL prospect is 6.0. Anyone who grades at 6.0 or higher is considered a good prospect. Those who grade higher are considered better prospects. There were only two players who had a final grade of 7.0- Mario Williams and Reggie Bush. The scouting report on Eric Meyer is absolutely glowing. The final line of his summary says that after a couple of years as a backup that Eric Meyers will be a very good starting QB in the NFl with the ability to make big plays with his arm and his legs. He has a fairly long list of variables that he graded 7.0, a very high grade.Eric Meyers Final grade: 6.25Vince Young Final grade: 5.9Jay Cutler Final grade: 5.9Matt Leinert Final grade: 6.4Going by the grades, Eric Meyer may be a steal. ArmyBengal
I know this guy didn't play in the ACC and sh*t, but I to think he will get his shot to be a backup and like the fact we brought him in, considering McNeal was drafted as a WR. WHODEY !!!
Stripes
As good as he might ever end up being, he's still no Carson Palmer. It'd be great to have our own Matt Schuab to play trade with in the distant future though.
HairOnFire
I can't comment on the grades given, but I remember on this very board we had a predraft thread concerning which QB prospects we'd like to see the Bengals draft late, and I actually mentioned Myers. The reason I remember the thread is because Pushy also mentioned Myers....and we don't agree on much. That said, I've only seen Myers play in one game, and I remember almost nothing about it....other than the fact that he flashed a very strong arm, offered good size, and seemed to have a knack for making the tough play everytime he had to.
