BengalsFan4Liefe
Said the Steelers are the team to beat, ok...I can accept that, they are defending Super Bowl champs but glossed over losing Hope, Von Olhoffen, Bettis, Randle El by saying, Cowher just needs toughness....Blech.What REALLY set me off was Sharpe saying Baltimore will be right behind them breathing down their necks, Baltimore is the team the Steelers fear. Baltimore? 6-10 Baltimore? self destructing, old Baltimore? What is this 2000? No mention of the fact that the Bengals won the division last year and went 5-1 in the division.Said the Bengals were soft, they couldn't stop the run and then when pressed said well it'll henge on Palmer, if he is healthy or not. So, getting Sam Adams, Madieu Williams, and Dexter Jackson won't help the run defense? Getting Thurman and Pollack another year in the system won't help the run defense? Please!did Cowher chant "We beat the Ravens!" during their victory parade? No he chanted "We Dey!" why? because the Steelers knew just like we know that the Bengals were the team to beat and the Steelers beat us.Sterling needs to pull his head out of the sand and start doing some research. said the Browns will finish 7-9...if they do the Ravens will be in last place next year. Obviously Sharp must be an idiot. The Bengals have one of the best offenses in the NFL. What i'd like to know is how the Colts got so much respect with a horrible defense in the past and a dominating offense, nobody seemed to count them out, but because we are the Bengals we get no respect. Our offense is an exact image of the Colts and an exact image of the colts before the repaired defense. The ravens defense as I have always said overhyped and overrated. The offense? Whos the QB again? Kyle something.. and I love how they talked kyle up towards the end of the season last year, I mean come on, this guy has stats like randell Ell at QB.. Who is the leading WR there ? an aging mason? and who is rumored to be coming? an aging mcnair? this team is going backwards. Brian billick wont even have a job after this year. As for the steelers.. Remember if it wern't for a cheap shot to Carson we could be the Super bowl champs. The steelers beat us with our second string not first. I believe if Carson stayed in the game, we win, we go to the Super bowl and we are being talked about on tv.
kayaker0678
if we won that game the Colts would have won the superbowl. sorry I HATE the steelers but they had a better defense at that time and they showed up to play at the colts. But who knows???
BENGALTHEM
Sterling is an idiot. You can tell he's not doing his homework on the Bengals. He's another guy like Irvin who is subconciously bias towards the Bengals for whatever reason. They both played during an era when the Bengals were the laughing stock of the league, so they still have a certain stereotype in-grained in their head. The only opinions I respect are Tom Jackson and Mark Schlereth.Like I said before, the Bengals are loaded from top to bottom. Even if Carson Palmer didn't play this year, we still are better than the rest of the AFC North. We'd just have to tailor our offense for the quarterback. I'm comfortable with any NFL QB (besides Boller) behind an +A O-line JJ, RJ, 85, and Housh. I think the Defense is going to step up big time! We made huge upgrades through FA and the draft.Cleveland Clowns are getting better but they're not going to the playoffs. They still need to take some more baby steps, but they mirror the Bengals in the rebuilding process and that's scary. Still, if it's Brown, flush it down.Baltimore Scavengers.........they have a bad head coach and a bad QB. So no matter I much talent they have, they'll never be contenders until they make a switch. They should have waxed Billick 2 years ago. Amazing how winning a superbowl buys more time to screw up. And I love how people think Boller has arrived because he played well in his last 2 games. McNair is better than Boller, but this might be McNairs last year. I think he's washed up. I think Jamal Lewis is done too. I noticed not to many teams jumped to get Lewis during FA. Jamal had his run but he's in the category of big backs that reach there threshhold one year, and in a span of 1-2 years there performance rapidly decreases. Marion Butts, Natrone Means, Christian Okoye, Gary Brown, Barry Word, Tyrone Wheatley etc., just about every big back besides Jerome Bettis.Bitchburg Squeelers........I truly believe that was a team of destiny. Now, that that fairytale is over, they'll come back down to earth. They're going to be the team everbody is gunning for. Too many losses as well. Loosing Randel El was big. Rothlisburger is good but he's a bitch. Deauce is done too. Having Deuce Staley is like having Antwaan Smith. Willie Parker can't carry the load for the whole season. No more automatic 4th and one conversions and goaline touchdowns.Bottom line. Even though Steelers are the SuperBowl Champs if Carson didn't get hurt, they would have lost. The Bengals are still the team to beat. We are still the Division Champs. Rudi Johnson and the defense will win at least 3 games by themselves without Carson in a 6 game stretch. Everything else is gravy. I'm confident Carson Palmer will be back stong. Nothing shakes this guy. He's like a machine. Might have to start calling him RoboCop. GapControl
I'm confident Carson Palmer will be back stong. Nothing shakes this guy. He's like a machine. Might have to start calling him RoboCop. I like it. I think it has a nice ring to it. Carson is "Robocop". His knee has been recrafted by technology`s edge, he always follows his prime directive to shred defensive opponents. His haircut even reminds me of Murphy sporting the high brow and 80`s era fashionable, gleaming metal brain dish.
omahacolt
i really dont see a way the bengals dont finish at least second in the division unless palmer is out for a long period of timethe ravens wont be much. their offense will be horrible once again and their defense seems to get worse every yearif palmer is healthy early in the season then i think the bengals will almost be a lock to make the playoffs again. i love the additions they made to the D and with the playoff experience they got last year everyone should benefit
