Stripes
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2433933 The Browns traded Trent Dilfer to San Fransisco for Ken Dorsey and a 2007 7th round draft pick. Sounds like a bad move to me. Dilfer was a nice veteran backup who could have helped mentor Frye, but I suppose he'll mentor Alex Smith instead. The 7th rounder doesn't make it worth the trade in my opinion.

He constantly runs his mouth to local news channels. And all he ever did was talk about how he should be the starter. He's just a guy that doesn't realize that he's not good enough to be a starting QB in this league. He's very similar to Tommy Maddox, except Maddox never ran his mouth or got in barfights. But they're both guys that need to realize they aren't that good anymore....
Stripes
Honestly I never heard about any of that. If that's the case, then sure my opinion changes.

da boss
Do the turds honestly think that Frye is ready? Are they insane?
Stripes
Do the turds honestly think that Frye is ready? Are they insane? I think he is. He was pretty successful as a rookie considering the team he had around him. I don't think he'll be Palmer or Roethlisberger caliber by any means, but he could end up being a solid quarterback. Now I'm stuck outside Cleveland, it's a s**thole...

But they're both guys that need to realize they aren't that good anymore....Real Story. Leave it to a Steelers fan to twist a story. Just like Henry being arrested for sexual assault.typical////LAKEWOOD, Ohio -- Cleveland Browns quarterback Trent Dilfer testified that a man insulted him in front of fans in a bar last June and then punched him. "It was a good shot," said Dilfer, who is 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds. "It knocked me back to a certain degree and stung me pretty good." Dilfer testified Wednesday in Joshua Pfeil's misdemeanor assault trial in suburban Cleveland. After Pfeil's insult, Dilfer said he turned toward the 23-year-old man, warned him to stop and tried to distance himself from him. But Pfeil, 6-foot and 150 pounds, caught the player with a punch to the left side of his face, Dilfer said. Pfeil's lawyer said Dilfer sparked the fight on June 10, before the quarterback began his first season with the Browns. Dilfer ripped Pfeil's shirt, choked him and threw him into a spiral staircase, attorney Jeffry Kelleher said. Dilfer said he grabbed Pfeil's shirt but never hit him. Pfeil alerted police, according to a police report. Witnesses testified that the bartender held Dilfer back after Pfeil punched him. //////Dilfer was unhappy though. He was upset he lost his job to injury. As usual, no quarterback will do well with no protection. Frey has better potential. Dorsey has some experience. The fans up here arent losing any sleep losing Dilfer. They will probably be looking for a more experience backup though. But Frye is their guy. He will be given time to develop.Expectations are up, but most dont think they will compete for the playoffs. Just hope for improvement. Tis town has learned to not get their hopes up too much. too much Cleveland sports radio. Kind of sucks being a Bengal fan in Cleveland. Dam the sports scene is depressing here.
