derekshank
There were a lot of players I wanted instead of Joseph... but none of them were left. When the run on DB's took place Joseph was the guy I finally prayed would be left. He is an incredible athlete, an will be ready to play earlier than Cromartie.I like the situation we're in, because Tory still has the ability to be a good starting corner opposite Deltha. We have a decent safety tandem, and Ratliff and Joseph will be great nickle and dime DB's.If Joseph progresses well, and his athleticism allows him to take on the speedier WR's that tend to burn Tory, then we have Tory, who will be the league's best Nickle back.I'm not as pumped about this pick as I was about Pollack last year... but I was hoping for a DB pick, and I got it. Now's not the time to start complaining.
Kazkal
Cromartie was injured, and returned.....Not the same as being green from inexperience.Plus, he was gone so the point is moot. My point is that among the remaining players they took JJ....weak.fact is JJ got the starting job and was injured came back and started the next yearI know which defensive player would you rather have in 1st that would have been such a play maker that we had to have? joseph was probbley BPA for defense (not counting LB)
HoTbOy
Only thing i diden't like about jwilliams I heard his man 2 man was subpar he was more zoneInteresting that Pittsburgh traded up to right behind usthank god they diden't take lendale white though, when i thought they might rather face holmes then white I didn't know that his man to man skills were subpar, I thought Marvin liked the big physical CB's ala DWeathersby, man how i wished he would have worked out for us...TJames won't be leaving this year but he maybe a cap casualty next year, I also thought that KRatliff was going to take TJames's spot maybe he is destined for nickel and dime back duty... schweinhart
This should prove to be a great pick for the Bengals and could prove to be that quick. They need to get this guy signed ASAP and get him in the fold immediately, none of this Pollack bullsh*t like last year. Hill going as early as he did threw a wrench in the CB situation and the Bengals were fortunate that KC didn't nab Joseph. Great pick. Maybe not as big bodied as it would've been nice to see but Joseph is physical enough to play the run on an island. By midway into the season, the Bengals should actually have 2 CBs who can play man all over the field. That will be very nice and give lots of scheme options on D.
