lando griffin
I don't know if anyone saw it, but Chad and D Hall just sent verbal jabs back and forth for like 10 minutes...I always love his antics and D Hall knows Chad is just joking, but D Hall isn't a joke and I doubt he takes it lightly. Just hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass. D Hall was a pretty good talker as well.Other things brought up...*Chad said he wants "Cheney to rule the world" for a little while so Bush can make it to the game.*Chad brought up the "if we were in a phone booth together you wouldn't be able to touch me" again, and said while he's there, "I'm gonna call Bush to ask him to make it a national holiday." BengalByTheBay
I haven't seen it yet, but I'll offer that CJ is a big favorite on NFL network and it certainly smacks of being a set-up thing. I don't think any of Chad's talk really does anything to negatively affect a game -- corners are always going to have a game against him circled no matter what. Just a time-killer for the network until draft day starts.
BigBenBlows
How could you not love 85?? People I work with aren't Bengals fans but they all tell me how much they love to see what he's going to do next.
ArmyBengal
Nothing like letting the build up to a game begin a little early...C'mon though, if you haven't realized that particular matchup was going to happen this year, you might be behind the power curb a bit. That is one of the games I'm looking forward to the most just for that matchup. D Hall is a beast and would love nothing more than to see Chad torch his monkeyass seeing him get schooled like Champ !!!WHODEY !!!
andybren
On ESPN the other night, Hall compared his rivalry with Chad to Ali and Frazier.

HoTbOy
I just saw the interview, and OMG they were talking much smack...I really do like DHall, and hope that JWilliams somehow manages to fall to us..DHall keeps saying how he shut TOwens down in the 2nd half, but he still had 7 for 107 in the 1st half...CJohnson is a different WR than TOwens...if the Falcons play Chad straight up with DHall, I think Chad will have a good game because I don't think anyone 1 CB can check him...man I love NFL Network... kingwilly
I like how Dhall kept referring to his times at the forty and short shuttle.Note to DeAngelo: If they gave out awards for that, you'd have a shelf of trophies...and until the NFL keeps track of testing times and adds that into the Win/Loss column it makes NO difference. When the lights go on and it is you on Chad, all those times and measures and tenths of a second matter about as much as where your Mom sits in the stands.Chad just kept laughing...Dhall seemed pretty high-strung....I did like the talk about what TO did...and that was with a less than 100% Mcnabb throwing the ball. Dhall has to worry about the combo of CP to CJ...not just CJ and how he matches up in the short-shuttle...Fool.
kingwilly
If DeAngelo is going to break out the stats on his 40 and short shuttle, let's examine his match-ups with WR and their results...List of "Who 21 Couldn't Stop in '05"...assuming he covered the opponents top WR.TO - 7/112D. Jackson - 8/131D. Branch - 8/107L. Coles - 9/96....with Vinny on the trigger!Driver - 10/114Galloway - 8/97List of "Who 21 Could Stop in '05"Moulds - 3/18...more a symptom of Losman being the QB!Taylor - 5/62Chambers - 3/40M. Clayton - 3/48Horn - 5/54Muhammad - 3/40THere are a few that fall in between...S. Smith had a 7 catch game with a TD but not stellar yards...call it a push...M. Williams had a decent game with 8 grabs in a loss, prolly junk catches late...Hakim gave him fits in with an 85 yard game and several first downs...So, Mr. Hall....tell us again what is more important...your 4.whatever 40 time or your match-ups and record???? cincy9275
i don't care what hall said there is no and i repeat no one man that can cover chad period hall is fooling himself. the best corner in the game is champ and ask him and the bronco's what happens when you try to play single coverage on chad you will get embarrsed

Stripes
Chad is everywhere. I was watching ESPN 2 last night, and they were showing some lame pre Superbowl event called the "Madden Bowl." I don't know how a video game ever got air time on cable TV, but whatever. Participants included eight NFL players, and of course Chad was one of them. BengalChamps
I saw the video on NFL.com....Hilarious!!I was surprised that D Hall could stay with CJ's smack. He held his own pretty good. The game will be different though! This is football, not a 40 or agility race.
backerman
If DeAngelo is going to break out the stats on his 40 and short shuttle, let's examine his match-ups with WR and their results...List of "Who 21 Couldn't Stop in '05"...assuming he covered the opponents top WR.TO - 7/112D. Falcons do play a lot of zone. For example, only about 3 of T.O.s catches were on D. Hall in Man to man. the rest were in off zone coverage, usually not in D. Halls zone. I'd say its highly unlikley that D. Hall simply plays Chad straight up, man to man, all game long. But when Falcons do go man coverage, you can bet it would be D.Hall covering him.Secondly, when asked about what kind of numbers Chad might put up, D. Hall said that Chad could go for 6-7 catches and one hundred plus yds, but that the Falcons would win the game. 3rd, so much of thier battle will actually be determined by the play of the the Bengals O-line vs the FAlcons D-line. IF Carson has all day, with no plenty of room to step up, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to cover Chad.OTOH, quick pressure from our D-line could make D.HAll look like a stud.Unless you have the coaches film and know how to break it down, we fans really won't be able to tell who "won" the head to head matchup between Chad and D-Lo. We'll just assume that if Chad puts up good numbers, he won the battle. and If he doesn't, that D. Hall shut him down...which may not be accurate at all. Tasher
yeah, so Chad has 4-8 catches and no TDs, what are Housh, Tab, Henry, KWash, CPerry going to do? Do they have 4or5 cover guys to blanket the rest of the 4 wide receiver sets?Last I checked Atl was 22 overall in defense!325.0 ypg 128.9 rush ypg 196.1 pass ypg 21.3 pts p/gThis would not bode well vs our offense! Especially considering that we did not get to face too many "soft offenses last year!
