ChadJohnson-85
Packers agreed to a seven-year deal with Charles Woodson.
Stripes
That's a good pickup for the Packers. I wonder if this move had anything to do with Brett's (apparent) decision to return for another season? Here's a link:http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/GB/9399225
7/11
that dude is two years away from bein an average cornerback.
bengalboomer7
that dude is two years away from bein an average cornerback. The way the contract breaks down it looks to be just a three year deal. No signing bonus, 10.5 in the first year. A longer version of the contract Ty Law got from the Jets, I guess.Good deal for both sides. Player gets his money, team covers thier butt. ArmyBengal
Team covers their butt indeed !!!Woodson hasn't done ANYTHING for the past couple years and will be lucky to do much more in the Packer's backfield... Favre shouldn't have come back in my opinion and the Packer's just flushed some cash down the toilet to appease his monkeyass !!! I'm not looking forward to seeing the Packer's do horrible this year and wasting time and more money on their 1st rounder from last year who's still sitting on the bench !!! Stupid Cheeseheads !!! Once again, this is just my perspective !!! Thank you !!!WHODEY !!!
GapControl
The only reason I ever rooted for Farve and his Packers in the first place was so they would defeat the overhyped, media-loved Dallas Cowboys of the mid-Nineties. I guess I can finally stop pulling for them now that Dallas can`t make the playoffs. I do feel sorry that such a great QB has to suffer with a joke of an offensive supporting cast but, hey, he had his day in the sun. It`s our turn now. AMC
Depending on how the contract is backloaded, etc...but that is one colossal waste of money....I never understood why they EVER said Woodson was an elite player....Extremely overrated.... No signing bonus means no proration, so if they cut him there shouldn't be much dead money. They were in a great cap situation, so they pay him big in the first year. Like I said, it's basically a three year deal.
Whur CHad At?
Great deal for both parties. Woodson will play offense and defensive, where he is dangerous both ways. Wasn't a waste of money at all. A good, smart move by a classy organization.
ArmyBengal
Woodson plays on the offense ??? I never saw that one from him...Still think he's way less than the hype that surrounds him !!!WHODEY !!!
Stripes
I think Woodson is a good corner. He hasn't gotten many INTs in recent seasons, but he still seems to hold his own well against good receivers, a la Chris McCallister.

andybren
Woodson is highly overrated. He'll be a safety by next year.
