Whur CHad At?
Willie isnt going anywhere. I honestly think he has 6 more good years left in him
KiLBurn
I like Willie Anderson BUT he is a RT which is a much easier position to replace than LT. If he is demanding top 5 tackle money we need to let him walk. We should receive some kind of comp pick for letting him do so. If I was writing the checks, Stacy Andrews and Scott Kooistra would actually be a priority to re-sign over WA. We can't keep everyone. DC_Bengals_Fan
What could you get for 1 year of an old tackle? 7th round pick?He just made the Pro Bowl last season, and he ought to have 3 or 4 solid years left in him. And any tam trading for him would undoubedly want to work out a new deal first, soo it wouldn't be 1 year. I could see a lot of teams with o-line issues -- Houston, for example, or the Jets -- being very interested. As to his exact value, who knows? But even if it was just a 7th, what would you rather have: that 7th, or nothing when he walks next year?I'll risk the 7th against the likelihood that he isn't worth what he thinks he is, and we re-sign him next offseason for less than it would take now once the lack of outside interest changes his mind. All that, assumes that his demands are out of line with what he's worth. If he's only asking market value, surely we wouldn't be trying to trade him. UK Bengal
erm i dont recall telling him to not post anymore? what i posted is my opinion on the guy and im entitled to view it and i wont be saying anything more on the subject.as for the extention of stienbach then that would seem the logical option franchise levi and depending on how the draft and big stacys improvement extend willie if we have the cap room
benny44
Levi and Eric will be resigned but i think Big Willie is gone. Thats just my opinion. He is great do not get me wrong but he is getting older and will cost a lot of money.
Kazkal
I agree on eric and levi will return, but I think if their done theres a chance we will keep willie we have plenty of cap room in 2007
buck3y3d
Marvin said in the article that they would draft with the fact that this was the last year for Willie in mind.I love Willie as a player, but in terms of football, I'll take the best value. Plus, Stacey Andrews should be getting ready at some point. He was supposed to be a project and he should be about ready.

GapControl
Willie likes to talk. I think most people from the southern states like to chatter. I think he is now so happy about reaching the post season that he wants to be recognized for his loyalty to the formerly hapless bengals. I can see his point from an individualistic point. I really hope he decides he has enough money for his fatburger franchises of the future and signs a cap-friendly deal.
Spain
First how can you make being stoned 24/7 sound bad. Second I dont make fun of you for not brushing your teeth. Third I dont make fun of the english childish sense of humor. Dear Lord you have one international comedy Mr. Bean and he doesnt speak. Fourth I dont make fun of you for being the 51st state. Oh wait Canada rates above you, 52nd. Fifth I dont make fun of all the rain there, I really cant because with less sun light I dont have to look at english grills. Damn wanker learn this word DENTIST.

We still have a year of service left from Willie, so any talks of unloading him for a 7th rounder is insane. As for overpaying for loyalty's sake, ask the Cincinnati Reds how things worked out when they overpaid for Barry Larkin. I am quite thankful for Willie's dedication to the team, but he is easily the most expendable of the three lineman (especially with Andrews and/or Kooistra possibly to replace him). I hope he decides to take a little less to come back, but we'll make do without him. What's nice is that we get to try to make a Super Bowl run with him this year, and get to talk about all of this for the whole year.
semiotter
While he is often heralded as a saint, I for one think he is a bunch of hot air. Why the #ell is he complaining about the deals getting done now in the media? His mouth is as big as his arse. Face it Willie, you are not the priority. You even said as much, or were you just being sarcastic. I am particularly concerned about his comment that the O-line gets no respect, while the skill players get all the fame and glory. Get to a Superbowl you big baby. Your O-line let Kimo by to bust up Carson! STFU! We have already drafted your replacement in Stacey Andrews.Willie might be right on the O-line not get any respect from the sports world media, but if he wants to see what people that really count think he should log on here and he would see that the fans( thats who really count) think of the O-line. He would see we give them all the CUDOS they could ever need!!!!!
TJJackson
Willie might be right on the O-line not get any respect from the sports world mediaNo, not really....the sports media regularly praised the play of the oline in 2005...in particular I recall this occurring during the loss to Indy..... GapControl
I would question the sanity of the Bengals entire leadeship if Willie were traded for a 7th round pick.
ArmyBengal
I will not bash Big Willie for anything at this point. The guy has been nothing but a professional when most players would not have been. He's represented this team and this City in a positive manner and has been a bright spot for many years. The guy still has more than productive years ahead and should get the opportunity to play out at least a few more years. Hopefully, the Bengals will be able to work something out with him, as I would hate to see him in any other uniform than ours... Nothing more...WHODEY !!!
