BigBenBlows Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Just read on Bengals.com that they will be having a draft day party on April 29th starting at noon. I know most of the time you can pick your season tickets out at that time, but I was just wondering if any one had plans on going. Quote
Bengalbob Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I went last year and it was pretty cool. Marvin came out (walked right past me -- smaller than what I thought he'd be, but definitely had the aura of a celeb) and gave a speech after picking David Pollack. The cool part was that he said some things that he'd never say to the media (like hacking on Derrick Johnson after someone asked if Marvin would have picked him if he fell to the Bengals). The crowd was fairly big and rowdy enough. Overall a pretty good experience. That said, I'm not sure if I'll go this year. The Bengals pick so late in the first round that it will end up being an all day event. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Sounds like a good time, oh well...WHODEY !!! Quote

Larry Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 they really do a good job on the extra events at Paul Brown. Went a couple of years ago to the new uniform party, and it was great. Had a lot of players there that interacted with the fans for over an hour afterwards. Quote
Bobcat Bengal Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 I think I might make that trip. Quote

TJJackson Posted April 18, 2006 Report Posted April 18, 2006 Not much of a party -- they charge you ten bucks and food and drink is extra, probably a LOT extra since you're then a captive audience Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted April 19, 2006 Report Posted April 19, 2006 I went two years ago, and it was a BLAST. Yeah, we were all stunned by the Chris Perry pick, but ESPN was there, we were on TV, and it rocked. Oh, and yes, they have food and drink and you pay for it. Slightly less than at a normal game. They do, however, have door prizes with some cool stuff. Quote
