Stripes
Eric Milton is now 2-0 with a ERA of 2.63 after his first two starts. He has given up one home run in each of those two starts, but otherwise has been very impressive. I know that two starts is rarely a good indicator of how a pitcher will perform through a full season, but a good start is a good start. Last year, Sidney Ponson was coming off the worst season of his career, but finished 2005 with solid numbers. Anyone think Milton can pull it of as well?As for the rest of the team, they committed two more errors today against the Cubs. Dunn, Lopez, and Kearns all belted homers and the Reds won 8-3. They are 6-3 now, but I can't see it lasting that way if the defense doesn't improve fast. Coffey and Mercker did pitch two solid innings out of the bullpen, and that was refreshing to see. Smackdown625
It won't stick around much longer. Eric Milton is not a good pitcher, he gives up way too many HR's.

Stripes
i bet miltons era is a full 2 points lower then last yearWhat's sad is if he can accomplish that, he will still have an ERA in the mid 4's.

redsbengalsbucks
If Milton and Arroyo can continue preforming as well as they have the Reds might have an outside shot at a wildcard, but that is a long way off.
ArmyBengal
This all looks good now, check back after the All Star break and see where we are then... I must admit, that it's nice to see though, regardless of how early it is, just because you so rarely see it...WHODEY !!!
semiotter
Man give the guy a break, last year was the first bad year he has really had. I think he will do alot better this year. It looks like he is off to a good start.
