Smackdown625 Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 Any Cavs fans out there? If so, how do you think our beloved Cavs will do in the playoffs? Quote
Stripes Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 I might take some heat here for supporting a Cleveland team, but yeah I am a Cavs fan. It sucks that LeBron hurt his leg last night, but it looks like he will be okay. I doubt they will make a deep playoff run, simply because of the Pistons. Right now I would call the Cavs the second or third best team in the east though. It'd be great to see LeBron explode in the playoffs. Quote
Smackdown625 Posted April 14, 2006 Author Report Posted April 14, 2006 I would love to see the Cavs go far in the playoffs, but I don't think it'll happen this year. It's LeBrons first time in the playoffs, so he doesnt have the experience that other players have. If LeBron can get his ankle healthy, and the Cavs can get quality play off the bench from Damon Jones & Donyell Marshall then they might be able to do something. It really comes down to what they in the paint & what they do off the bench. LeBron & Zydrunas will bring it every night, and Larry Hughes is starting to get back into his form. They just need their bench players to provide some quality play. Quote
Stripes Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 And that's something they haven't been getting much of in recent seasons. There is no real scary sixth man for the Cavs, except maybe Damon Jones. Marshall started the season hot, but has since dropped off into a lasting slump. If the Cavs have any hope of winning their opening playoff series or even going deeper, it'll be in the play of their superstar. Quote

But the thing I like about that is, everyone will be double teaming him. So hopefully Flip Murray can get open for some shots, b/c he's playing really good right now. And it'll leave the 3's open for Damon Jones coming off the bench. Quote
semiotter Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Heck they have trouble with the Knicks lost last week in NY and barely won last night so they wont do squat. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 I know you just didn't say Iggy brings it every night. He doesn't fit with this team at all, and is overrated as hell. They need a real center, expecialy one that play a little defense, BAD Quote
