CBin2k7
5 errors in 4 innings? Encarnacion with 3?
Stripes
This is in one game?*edit* Man apparently so. I'm surprised the score isn't worse than 4-1. Greg Maddux is one hitting us right now as well.
MacD BengalFan
That is correct. Lets hope they don't commit 5 errors each game for the remainder of the season.
Stripes
Was it the 2002 season when the Reds led the major leagues in errors commited? It looked to me like they had improved the defense for the most part since then. Yeah we have a lot of youth on the team, but 5 in one game is just appalling. And yes, the defense did improve after that. But if Edwin continues to commit one or two errors a game, he will need to go back to little league and look for 2002 to be repeated. cincy9275
i am not all impressed with encarnacion . he should not be playing 3rd base the guy has had one good at bat and that's it he need to come out of the line up he is horrible not to mention his defense sucks also i know it's still early but he is trash so far . with griffey coming up lame today arrullia should be our starting 3rd base man .encarnacion i really am starting to getting real feed up with him. Stripes
Edwin has made some very good plays at third. I want him to keep on playing. He hasn't responded well to adversity as of yet, and I want experience to teach him how to do that.

middy19
Realalisticly the reds are 2 or 3 years away from contending for the division title and doing anything in the playoffs. By that time some of the pitching from the minors will be ready for the majors (Homer Bailey for one) and hopefully that can sign Dunn to a long term deal. Aurilia will not be around in three years and Edwin will so let him play and develop for the future.
redsbengalsbucks
Seems to me like Dunn has had his problems feilding the ball this season also, I was happy in one aspect when they traded the Mayor (Casey) away, because I assumed it meant that Dunn would be playing 1B. He seems to be able to handle that better than the OF. Dunn needs to be shopped to an American league team as a DH and get some pitching in Cinci now.
