Hello everyone,

I'm a bengals fan recently transferred out of Cincinnati to San Diego California. Found the boards and can't wait to get started. If anyone knows any Bengals fans around here, let me know!

Now for the good laugh. I was searching craig's list for a computer monitor and some furniture when I stumbled across this. I think everyone will get a good laugh out of the way this person described giving this stuff away!

That's funny.....San Diego doesn't sound anything AT ALL like German.

Anyway, welcome to the board guys. :bengal:

I'm pretty sure that was a quote from "Anchorman" with Will Pharrel (spelling? Yes sir. It's Farrell.) ... One of the GREATEST movies of all time!!

It really means Saint Diego if anyone was really wondering.... which would be Spanish. But .... "We can agree to diagree ..." ;)

That what I've found, but check out my options

South Carolina

San Diego

Phoenix

Florida

:sure: Needless to say, I'm pretty sure I'm moving!

From what I've found San Diego is about 100-150 dollars more for an apartment

I've lived on the East Coast, strictly in Ohio my whole life, and right now I'm leaning to South carolina

If you end up in South Carolina, you'll soon find that the only people that consider Ohio to be "East Coast" live in the west. (I grew up in Ohio, went to school in NY, live in Cali)

An important advantage to living in California....the Bengals play at 10:00 a.m. It's a nice feeling to step out of a sportbar at 1:00 p.m., into 70 degree weather in January, and have all day to enjoy your Bengal victory.

I like th sound of that.

I'll have to check on exactly where in Florida, can't remember off the top of my head, but each choice is very near the coast.

Yeah it is absolutely outstanding to be able to watch football on Sunday and not have it take up your whole day.

There are some areas of San Diego that have some good prices. I live by SDSU and I don't pay too much, and I rent a house, with a roommate. You can tend to find some cheaper living areas in the El Cajon or Chula Vista parts of town. Nothing wrong with living in those areas, but El Cajon tends to be 10-15 degrees warmer than the coast.

If you mean NYC then I work about 40 - 45 min. north of the City near Poughkeepsie...if you mean NY in general I live between Buffalo and Rochester. My father is a member of this site and I have a co-worker who is from the city of Buffalo who is also a Bengals fan...there probably aren't too many more of us around, though. Until the Bengals win the Super Bowl and the band wagon fans jump on!! :bengal:

I live in Point Loma and my rent isn't that bad. I'm a server/bartender and I will get paid minimum wage (7.50) plus a s**t load in tips so while my rent is more, my hourly wage will end up taking care of it. Kind of a cool twist. As far as I'm concerned, the cost of living argument really only pertains to people trying to buy real estate or start a family. I love it here so far.
