If the deal's official what's the next move

Adams isn't officially a Bengal because he has to pass a physical, right? And how funny is that thought? Can you imagine a doctor looking at a naked Sam Adams and then agreeing that he passes the professional athlete test?

As for the update on Harrington, the only thing that jumped out is the remark that he would consider a 2-year contract, because that's the minimum length that I can picture the Bengals agreeing was worth trading a low round draft pick for.

And there has been nothin new on the Arrington front save for the fact that Jacksonville, like everyone else, hasn't bothered making him an offer.

Maybe the doc will buy that he's a sumo wrestler...

As for the physical...yeah, he has to take one but note that he's taking his sweet time about moseying on up to Cincy to get poked and prodded. This is a classic leverage maneuver: announce an "agreement in principle" midweek and then set the signing for 3, 4, 5 days later. And let the word out that it's a (in NFL terms) chump change contract. Then see if some more profilgate teams comes riding to your financial rescue.

If not...heck, take Mikey's money, it spends just like everyone else's.

Latest on Harrington:

Dolphins | Team close to deal with Harrington

Sun, 2 Apr 2006 08:39:22 -0700

Jason Cole, of the Miami Herald, reports Detroit Lions QB Joey Harrington prefer the Miami Dolphins over the Cincinnati Bengals or Denver Broncos, according to a source close to Harrington. The Dolphins offered Harrington a two-year contract, but the financial terms were unavailable. A trade still needs to be worked out between the Dolphins and Lions, who is looking for a sixth-round draft choice in exchange for Harrington. The Dolphins don't have a fifth- or sixth-round draft choice, but they do own three seventh-round picks and the team could offer a future draft pick.

So he likes Miami better than Cincinnati huh ?? Can't say as I care a whole lot, but thought I'd share...

WHODEY !!!
