Stripes
This was originally made for a MySpace blog entry, but I figured I might as well throw it here as well and see what folks might have to say. It is really long, so if you don't feel like reading it, that's cool! *edit* NOTE: I'm not looking for psychological advice here, just sharing a goofy dream. Share your own if you so desire!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am not one to remember many of my dreams. I do have them on occassion, but it seems as though I forget them entirely the moment I wake up. This was certainly not the case this morning. I had the most elaborate, detailed, and all around weird dream that I ever remember having. Here's a description of it, at least as I can remember.I stood inside the garage of a common residential one story house. The large garage door was closed behind me. There was no car in the garage, but there were many various other assortments scattered around the floor. I walked to the door leading into the house, and entered. Standing there on the other side to greet me was a girl (I will call her Mary from now on for the sake of description, though she never had a defined name in the dream), one I've never seen in reality. She greeted me with a smile, and I said hello (as if I'd known this person for a long time). She and I walked into the living room on the way to her bedroom. I walked past her father, who was sitting on a couch watching television. I said hello to him, and he said the same. Mary and I walked to her bedroom. After that there is a blank. I'm not sure if my dream just jumped to another place, or if I simply forget some. The next thing I remember is sitting in a car with three other people. One was Mary (sitting next to me in the back), and there was another girl I've never seen in the passenger's seat (I'll call her Beth). The driver was a male, and he was someone I have met in reality. He was my step-cousin Josh, whom I rarely see more than once a year, as he lives in Michigan.I have no memory of Josh ever parking the car and us all getting out, so this could be another place where my dream may have skipped to a new place. The four of us were in some sort of tunnel, surrounded by dirt on all sides. The tunnel was about standing-height, and completely lighted. We were all sitting on a cart-like object that rolled around this tunnel. We stopped in a little corridor that contained all sorts of random objects on each side. There were toys, papers, books, etc... all around. I never took a close look to see any of these objects in more detail.I remember seeing Josh and Beth both jump up off of the cart at the same time, and running off down the tunnels. Mary and I chased them for a short time, but they disappeared. She and I both went back and sat on the cart, both worried and confused. When we got there, we found a television sitting in front of us. It was tuned to some sort of news channel. A female reporter on the screen said something to the effect of: "This man [Josh's picture flashed on the screen] was found dead today in [i don't remember where she said he was found]. Along with him was also found the body of this girl [beth appeared on the screen]." Mary and I cried about it for a minute or two, and then the dream skipped again. Now Mary and I found ourselves in a large room. It had the look of a factory basement, as there were large pipes along the ceiling above us, and the walls were built with dirty white tiles. When we were here, I somehow had the innate knowlege that she and I were trapped underground. I didn't actually learn this information in the dream, but I knew it nonetheless for whatever reason. We began to walk in some random direction, and entered a low hallway with a curved ceiling, the walls on each side of us made with red brick. We walked down this hallway, very cautiously, turning corners and staying near the wall to our left. All through this I somehow knew that there was a specific person nearby that we needed to avoid, and that kept us on our toes. As we approached the final corner of this hallway, I peered out into another large room, much like the one mentioned before (like a factory basement). I saw a man pacing around near a door about 15 yards away. At first, Mary and I jolted back around the corner, held our backs to the wall and controlled our breathing, not wanting him to know we were there. I peered around the corner carefully one more time, and saw the man more closely. For whatever reason, with this second viewing, I realized he was nobody to fear. Mary and I walked into the room, and approached him slowly. He was standing in front of a door that led into a very small room, with a bed and a dresser. The man looked me in the eye, and I saw his crazed expression very closely. This was a man I have seen before in reality (if you have ever seen the movie Billy Madison, think of the guy that puts on the lipstick... It was him). Mary and I both spoke frantically to the man. We told him that we were stuck down there and needed help. He looked at us and laughed, then said something like: "Ha! We've all been stuck down here for years!"Mary and I were confused at this, and then asked him: "Do you know what might have happened to our two friends?" He grinned and said "Everybody comes down here with two friends! Well they've both been beheaded, just like my friends and everybody elses friends were!"It was right around here that I first woke up from the dream. I slowly became concious of reality, and said to myself verbally, "okay, I was just dreaming..." This has happened many times to end my dreams, and after that I've always fell asleep never to return to whatever state of mind I'd been in during the dream. Not this time.I fell back alseep rather quickly, and then the next thing I knew, I was once again standing next to Mary, this time in a tunnel corridor full of people. I assume these were the people that the man spoke of, all stuck down there. Mary and I walked around and over people, from tunnel to tunnel. Keep in mind that these tunnels were full of light, there was no darkness. After about twenty minutes of walking around, she and I came upon a large exit, where we could see sunlight. There were two or three other people sitting around there at the exit.Mary looked out and saw that it was indeed sunlight. Off in the distance she saw a dirt road leading to a line of trees on the horizon. She shouted something like "It's a road! We can escape!" She, I, and all the rest of the people stuck down there walked out together, and down the road. I have no idea why all the other people would have never taken such an obvious exit to escape before Mary and I got there, but it was a dream after all. That's where it ends. I woke up again, and felt more truly frightened than I have in a long time. As a dream, it wasn't really all that scary. Nonetheless, when I woke up, I was terrified. I just layed there in bed remembering everything in vivid detail, scared out of my britches. I don't know why it freaked me out so much.Whew. bengalboomer7
This dream means one of two things.1. You're on way too many drugs!2. You not taking nearly enough drugs!Worse part about it, in a more discreet way, that's what a doctor is gonna say!

San Antonio Bengal
The thing I love about dreams is how "logical" they are. One time I dreamt that instead of driving a few hours to one of the larger airports, we could drive all the way through Mexico and into Central America and leave from some airport down there where the fare was much cheaper. But our destination was something domestic like, say, Denver. Yeah, makes perfect sense in the dream, but then you wake up and just think "That was so stupid!"Great times! You missed a prime opportunity for one of the best smileys... Well, there weren't any light sabre battles in my dream. However, I got to watch a friend of mine get killed. That freaked me out for a while, but the rest of the dream was cool.

HairOnFire
Here's the short version of my favorite wierd dream. It starts with me running from something I can't see. I'm constantly looking over my shoulder, back toward the darkness. Something is back there, and I know it's gaining on me. The horrific chase flows from a typical dark alley setting, complete with fog and street lights, into an industrial setting with smoke and loud machines. I can hear my own beating heart as well as the footsteps of whatever is chasing. Both grow louder by the minute. I'm near panic. I turn a corner and find a doorway. I burst through the door into a quiet empty room. For some reason I'm dead certain that I have thrown off my unseen chaser. A feeling of safety washes over me. I sit down on a sofa to rest. Calm returns. Then into the room steps a cigarette girl like you see in old movies. She's got a ruffled skirt on, a pill-box hat upon her head, and a large sales box filled with items for purchase. In a husky voice she says..."Cigars, cigarettes, neck ties. Cigars, cigarettes, neck ties. Cigars, cigarettes, neck ties." Suddenly I realize that the cigarette girl is topless. In fact, she's not only topless...but her breats have absolutely no hint of nipples. They're huge, incredibly shaped, and as smooth as a bald mans head. And this is where I wake up screaming.
