"I'm happy with where we are," coach Marvin Lewis said. "We're in a situation where we don't have a void anywhere in players.

You checked your D Line lately buddy?

Oh Jesus, don't get me started on this again today... I ruined my whole day yesterday talking about this. I'll leave this subject today, by saying I agree with your assessment of our D-line DCBengalsFan !!! :sure:

WHODEY !!!

Good article. I hadn't realized how much the Ravens have lost this offseason. Good!

This is one of my favorite pictures too.

Here he comes a clawing, lean and hung-a ree....."

I assume that's from last years romp over the Rats in Cincy? Perhaps Ray Ray and Ed trying to rally their team to a comeback that looked like it might be yet never was? The day Kyle Boller earned himself another season under center? :D

Yeah, I remember that one... Everyone started saying, "Well Kyle Boller showed today why the Ravens moved up to get him and should be good from here on out". Good for everyone else that plays the Ravens !!! I say we jump out early on the Ravens every year only to "let" Boller appear to come back and maintain that hope for him... Funny as hell...

Boller = Steaming Pile of Dogsh*t !!!

WHODEY !!!

You know, my dislike for the Ravens and the Steelers is so dark and deep, i cannot discern who I dislike more....as if it matters.

oI like the Boller "prop-up" suggestion...very good idea. Just keep them coming back for more from him, thinking he is over the hump.....god he sucks....

as for Cowher...hats off to him/them putting together a run at the end. i did not like it but with a little help from Kimo and the ref's they pulled it off. Look for them to have a major hang-over in '06.

For marvin to proclaim "no voids" is absurd.

QB..........who's next in line?

D-Line.....the void is in their effectiveness.

WR/TE.....Henry a ?, Walter gone, Schoebel gone....Chatman helps a bit but TE is a big void.

.....no voids.....that's like saying Carson's knee is a "little" concern.

As it may seem that there are "voids" in the D-line, I'm pretty sure I'd take Marvin's word over any of us fans. I know the DT position sucked last year, and Geathers underperformed, but I think Marvin knows about the development of Shaun Smith and Askew more than us, and he knows more about how Dexter Jackson will perform in this defense. If he says there are no major concerns, then I have no major concerns.

Sorry, I'm still not buying it. If there is so much development in Askew why was he inactive almost all season ?? Smith I will give latitude, due to the fact when he came in, it seemed to help the d-line somewhatly. Anything else about how someone "might" perform in the defense is a crap shoot, an unknown... I'm still in a good mood, so I'll leave this today with, our d-line SUCKS regardless of what anyone (including Marvin) says. This is not one area I will say, in Marvin I trust. Stop the run, get better players than Thornton and then I will agree.

WHODEY !!!
