F.Cleveland
Just curious if anyone would be interested in trading up to say the 4th spot and getting Mario if that's even possible. If not that high, then how high up and to get who?
The_Next_Big_Thing
Naw. I'd almost never want to see us trade up with the scouting team we have in place. We still have enough holes at different positions to fill that there will certainly be someone where we pick.No Safety? No problem, grab a DT.No DT? No problem, grab a DE.No DE? No problem, grab a CB.No CB? No Problem, grab a TE.
ArmyBengal
Yep, I can't see this being the year we trade up either. To many directions to go and to many prospects will be available at #24. As a matter of fact, I could see another trade DOWN in the first. Who wouldn't love to have another day one pick THIS year ???WHODEY !!! I had worked out this whole scenario where they traded Corey Dillion and their #1 pick to someone in the top five so they could take Sean Taylor.Of course, they picked up Madieu in that daft, so what the heck do I know? Stripes
I can't imagine ever liking the trade up idea, especially going all the way from 24th to the top 5. I like having plenty of picks, and trust the scouting team to land good players in every round.
kingwilly
I don't see a reason to move up...the guys you really see moving up make a grab for a franchise QB/RB/WR.....and we look good in those areas...One could argue that M. Williams or V. Davis may be worth the cost...but there is not that much fall-off behind those guys...Kiwi is 98% of Mario Williams and Pope/Lewis are just a small bit behind Davis. Kazkal
Vdavis,Super mario or ngata all worth cost but doubt be affordable inless any of them feel 15ish
BlainThePain
Trading from 24 to 5 would cost us this years first, this years second, and next years first. Besides that, this draft is really deep. You can get a freakish athlete at 32 this year. I wouldn't mind seeing them trade up some spots to get Bunkley is he falls in the draft though. Madieu's OK, but he can't spit as far as Taylor. I don't think there's any possibility of getting in the top 5, but if we could move up 5 spots or so I might do it if it meant getting Bunk. Bengalbob
What kind of price have teams paid in the past to move up from somewhere around 24?
HoTbOy
For a team that likes to build from the draft the price is too high...and I really don't see a player worth it, maybe Bunkley...if he fell to 20th(which i doubt) then maybe you try...otherwise i would not do... WretchedOne
I would not object to the Bengals trading up and taking Ngata.
walshfan
I would not object to the Bengals trading up and taking Ngata. We would have go give up our 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks this year to move up to #8 ( buffalo) to get Ngata... thats based on the value board.. not gonna happen... Whur CHad At?
It would be nice to have him but I doubt we will move up. It is stupid, there is so much depth in the draft we don't need to. Plain and effing simple

WretchedOne
Ngata is a one time DT prospect that only comes around every ten years.Ngata is the FAR better player.

Put down the crack pipe my friend it's eating away your brain !!!Ngata is a beast and BY FAR the best DT in the draft. Don't get me wrong, I love the thought of getting "The Bunk", but Ngata is at the top of this years DT prospects !!!WHODEY !!!
Whur CHad At?
Ngata is one of those rare players that is super huge and can still fly. He played coverage at times at Oregon.
