Spor_tees Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Me-Shawn got cut by the Cowboys today, do the Bengals get him to come to Cincy to take over Chris Henry and Kevin Walter's shoes for a year and play along his flesh and blood CJ? Quote
Stripes Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 No thanks... We don't need two primadonna esque receivers on one team! Chad is enough of a handful. Quote
Spor_tees Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 He was only sheduled to make 1.5 million this year. If we lose Walter, K-Wash, and Henry is suspended part of the year or the entire year, that leaves us 3 WR's short. We aren't going to draft 3, and if we can get Keyshawn for 1.5-2 million a year for 2 years, that would be less than what Walter and K-Wash would have cost us.Johnson turns 34 this summer and is coming off a solid season. He led the team in receptions with 71, and had 839 yards and six touchdowns.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2368544 Quote
kingwilly Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I'd rather have Tim Carter from the Giants.....or Gaffney...or a rookie. Quote
ckj414 Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I'd rather have Tim Carter from the Giants.....or Gaffney...or a rookie.Tim Carter?!?...a world of potential right there, but his hands are not very good, and his playing speed doesn't seem as fast as his timed speed. I don't think he'll do much wherever he lands, hes a project worth nothing more than the minimum. Quote
derekshank Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 He's an older version of T.J. except with a bigger ego. He's good, because he's fearless across the middle... but we simply don't need him. Besides, Dallas only cut him because they're trying to get T.O. Denver and Miami are also in the running for T.O., and my guess is that one of the 2 teams that doesn't get him will pick up Keyshawn. Quote

Big upside with little risk...he aint Cheech and he won't break the bank. Quote
