This will make Joisey cringe, but I am pretty stoked. He and Madieu will shore up an area that has been victimized by injury and talent deficiency.

There is no bad aspect of bringing in a former SuperBowl MVP to a spot that has been a major weakness.

Hooray for us!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!

Tory - Dex - Madman - Deltha

Bengals SkyPatrol just got a new ACE.

This does a ton for me, he's an older version of madieu, he played in he cover 2 in tampa and that's what we run here, pretty much.

The man can cover and come up and make a sure tackle. This bolsters our secondary so much. Now all we need to do is draft one.

Well, this will make some people happy. Doesn't do much for me. Ohalete II, IMHO...hopefully I'm wrong.

Boo. Milloy is s**tloads better than this weasel. Terrible signing IMO

LMAO milloy is an in the box slow motherf**king safety, this guy is exactly what were not looking for, you need a safety that can cover, tackle and pick off the football, these are all skills Jackson has attained.

Not really sure how I feel. Why didn't we wait a bit longer? Hopefully we didn't give this guy a bunch of g-money. It seems that every year after the owners meetings and before the draft veteran players are cut. I believe that is when the Pats got Harrison for a bargin. Milloy was probably looking for too much cheese. :bored:

Doesn't seem like he is the banger we had in mind. Anybody got a bio on this guy? Strengths/Weaknesses? However, so long as he can help cut down the long, long pass plays I am happy.

We will take a TE in the 1st round.

I'm definitely taking a wait-and-see attitude here. Seems like one that could go either way...

Well, first thing to hope for is that he can just get on the field. Injuries (back, hamstring) have limited Jackson to 17 games (12 starts) in the last two seasons.

That's more than our starting safeties isn't it?

Um Jackson only had what 30 something tackles last year, and to mention only played FS. Milloy had 106 total tackles 1 sack and 1 INT and played SS, which we needed. He is regarded still as one of the best safeties in the league.

I am beginning to think that unless the Bengals get an additional pick in Round 3, we may not see the Bengals take a safety until round 4 at best (Dwayne Slay or Roman Harper?) I am beginning to believe the Bengals will go with Williams, Jacskon, Kaseveharn, and possibly Body as the 4 safties for 2006.

Patrick Body is a CB.

Mediocre signing here, more or less like the other moves we make, now we just have to wait for the hobson article about how this signing used up our remaining cap room and that no more free agents will be brought in.

Wait, we signed this guy (first four pics that pop up on Google image search.)

Slay is t-o-o s-l-o-w. Charlie Peprah will be there in the fourth. He's a player.

 I guess I was on the DJ bandwagon only because of experience and that he could cover and tackle, but when someone wrote he only had 30 tackles last year :( . I thought that whatever short comings he had would be addresed by Coyle. I think the same person said Milloy had a 106 tackles, and that was because Buffalo's run defense was so poor he was often the last line of defense, I live 60 miles away from B-lo and alot of there fans wanted to get rid of him because they say he can't cover anymore...apalmer4122yz.jpg

...guys, Anthony Mitchell was a mediocre signing...

Dexter Jackson, IMHO, can be a key piece of making the D complete.

Uhhh...no.

Nate Herring 2 years, 12 games.

Madieu Williams 2 years, 20 games.

Ok, so Combined they have more starts than Jackson in the last two years. However, on AVERAGE, which is what I was refering to, they have fewer games in the last two seasons than Jackson. So, what's with the uhhhh... no? It's TRUE.

Jackson had so few tackles because he didn't play much last year.

Dexter jackson has been fighting injuries the past two seasons. If he can make it through the season without getting injured he will be good again. I bet we got him pretty reasonable with very little guarenteed money after the second year.
