eclipse99t
S Ko Simpson, South Carolina OR S Donte Whitner, OSUTE Leonard Pope, UGA OR TE Marcedes Lewis, UCLACB Antonio Cromartie, FSU OR CB Tye Hill, ClemsonS Darnell Bing, USC OR S Daniel Bullocks, NebDT Gabe Watson, UM OR DT Brodrick Bunkley, FSUDefend your arguments...again, this is all from a standpoint of who fits the Bengals better....I'd go with Donte Whitner becuase he brings the big hit, has great experience, and is a Buckeye Marcedes Lewis becuase he has great height, but speed to go along with it while Pope has just size. He also has great hands. This is really really tough. I saw Cromartie run at the combine, and he ran a 4.49 as dispalyed on my TV, but that was the unofficial time. But Tye Hill blew away the 40 with a 4.30. He has good solid size, and a stocky frame which could translate to good run support. I would probably take Cromartie based on pure potential...he's just got elite size and athletic ability, and hopefully that burner speed will return when he recovers from the torn ACLI'd take Bullocks becuase he's a pure safety, not an in the box guy like Bing. Bullocks ran a 4.37 unoffical, and he looked very good in the DB drills as well. He could be the perfect complement to Madieu. I hope he'll be ther in the 2nd round when we pick, but he's rising fast.Bunkley. Watson is a slacker. He may have more upside, but upside means nothing, especially after teh "upside" that Askew has.Intrested in hearing your opinions.
Stripes
Simpson/Whitner - I'll take Ko. I think he has enough potential to develop into the best safety in this draft in regards to ball skills, and he has the physical characteristics that Whitner lacks.Lewis/Pope - Gimme Pope. I'd say he's the second best tight end prospect this year behind Davis. He is a balanced player as a blocker and pass receiver. He seems like he'd be the best fit into our system.Cromartie/Bunkley - I'd be happy with either one, but I'll take Bunkley. He is fast rising the boards as the second best DT prospect behind only Ngata. You should have a Cromartie vs. other CB option, rather than have Bunkley appear twice... Perhaps Hill.Bing/Bullocks - Bullocks, please. Both looked good at the combine, and this is a tough choice. I agree with your assessment, as to how each fits in the scheme.Watson/Bunkley - Bunkley again. Watson hasn't really impressed me as he has some, and Bunkley has looked great. WretchedOne
Ko/Donte - Donte.Donte is a lot more physical than Ko, Donte is going to become something special with the amount of time he spend in the film room.Pope/Lewis - Lewis.Despite what everyone thinks, Lewis is a good blocker who takes that part of his game very seriously. Watch some film of him and you'll see. Lewis is not a "finess" guy like so many want you to believe.Cromartie/Hill - NeitherJonathan Joseph or Richard Marshall are the better choices. We won't even really have a shot at Hill.Bing/Bullocks - Bullocks.Rumor around the block is that Bing is quite an idiot....vince young stupid....Daniel is definately faster and his stock has been rising with good a good combine and Senior Bowl.Watson/Bunkley - Bunkley.I just REALLY HATE Watson. BengalPappaw
I'd take:1. Ko Simpson -- I like his ball skills better. (But, we could take Whitner and I'd be quite happy)2. Pope I like his size advantage -- there aren't many 6'-7" safeties3. Cromartie -- Size and upside. He will get better. We don't need a small CB4. BULLOCKS -- no question -- speed and size and playmaking5. Neither DT until round
HairOnFire
S Ko Simpson, South Carolina OR S Donte Whitner, OSUTE Leonard Pope, UGA OR TE Marcedes Lewis, UCLACB Antonio Cromartie, FSU OR CB Tye Hill, ClemsonS Darnell Bing, USC OR S Daniel Bullocks, NebDT Gabe Watson, UM OR DT Brodrick Bunkley, FSU Whitner - Both fit the profile, but Whitner is the better player. Lewis - If you're looking for a TE there will be better athletes available, but none are better football players. And I can't forget that Lewis comes with a history of team leadership and a legendary work ethic. Hill - I agree he probably won't be there. I disagree that if he is there that anybody would be better. Bing/Bullocks? - One is an apple. The other is an orange. Tell me which type of fruit the Bengals are hungry for and I'll make a choice between them. That said, Bing is my favorite biggun. Bullocks is one of my favorite quicksters. Bunkley - Hands down, but I doubt he'll still be on the board when the Bengals pick. As for Watson, he'll probably be available....explaining very well why I'd rather pick a CB. The_Next_Big_Thing
S Ko Simpson, South Carolina OR S Donte Whitner, OSUTE Leonard Pope, UGA OR TE Marcedes Lewis, UCLACB Antonio Cromartie, FSU OR CB Tye Hill, ClemsonS Darnell Bing, USC OR S Daniel Bullocks, NebDT Gabe Watson, UM OR DT Brodrick Bunkley, FSUSimpson vs. Whitner, no question Go with Ko! He fits our system better, and he has more upside than Whitner. He's also more ready right now to start in the NFL.Pope vs. Lewis? Frankly, neither but I guess I'll have to say Pope because he's a better blocking TE than Lewis.Cromartie vs. Hill? I'll have to go with no. Don't like either of them really.Bing vs. Bullocks: Well, if they are both there in round 2, Bullocks. Bing is all hype.Bunkley vs. Watson? The quick athletic Bunkley jumped over the lazy Watson.
