The last 5 games the Bengals have played Browns, Bucs, Patriots, Ravens, Ravens. All of those defenses had a significant advantage against the Bengals O-line. The Bengals went 5-0. The Bills, Chiefs, and Jags are not those teams.
-
The Bengals can, and should, run the ball on the Bills.
-
The Bills will not present the same challenges to the Bengals offense. They just won’t. The O line situation is not ideal but they will not face a better defense the rest of the way. This game will be high scoring and come down to who makes the least mistakes.
-
We’re going to see a different game next week. Bengals weren’t showing their hand on offense. Expect Burrow’s timing and drops to get better. I also expect the Bengals defense to match the Ravens intensity. It’s going to be a hard fought game.

Hoping Kappa just has a sprain. If so he can come back at some point. If it’s broken, he’s out. Good news is that he should be ready by next season as it’s not a knee injury.

This Titans-Jags game is awful. Chargers roll over Jags in round one. Then go onto beat Chiefs. I’m calling it.
-
Ahhh I see.

Question. Scenario. Chiefs lose. Bills win. Bengals win. Bills 1. Chiefs 2. Bengals 3. How is a potential Bengals/Bills AFCCG not on a neutral field? Considering with the above scenario of the Bengals would have beat the Bills in week 17, they’d have the number 1 seed. How is this not included?
-
I’m pretty confident the players aren’t going to let this go. They’re going to want to prove themselves. You could see it as the game started against the Bills. They were out to make a statement. I think they carry that mentality into the playoffs.
-
Beat the Bills in Buffalo. Check. Beat the Chiefs again this season. Check. Leave no doubt which team is the best in the AFC.
-
Let’s leverage it then. Put’s the Bengals mentality back in the underdog state they were last year in the playoffs. Good.
-
Looks likely to happen. So it’s full go on Sunday. No rest for starters.
-
As is, the likely path for the Bengals starts with the 3 seed. The most likely games would be at home vs. Ravens, then at Bills, then AFCCG at a neutral site. It’s not the “fair” path but it’s also the one where if they win, there will be no doubts. Beating those 3 teams at home, on the road, and at a neutral site. It leaves no “what ifs”. I actually like them going to Buffalo as the #3 of all of the alternatives. If you’re the Chiefs, for example, it’s easy for people to point out “they were given the #1.” I don’t want that.

Best news imaginable.

I’m ok with that. I’m ok with cancelling the rest of the NFL season. But there is a way to move the SB back. The NFL is not at the mercy of anything. They could make it happen.

If there’s any good that comes out of this it’s that football, money, business, and all of it don’t compare to the compassion we should have for human life and each other. As far as the game goes, postpone the entire NFL schedule back one week. Allow the Bengals/Bills to play this weekend. There’s already a built in bye before the Super Bowl which they could use for the championship games. Or just move it all back one week. The whole schedule.

One of the interesting theories on this is, that because the Bengals have been 12-3 ATS, the “big money” is betting the Bengals can’t keep up the streak. Add in the emotion of big bettors getting “burned” by the Bengals and it becomes emotional. Basically, Burrow is breaking the mold when it comes to betting against the Bengals with the spread. They’re pissed. Why you would give the Bengals 2.5 points AT HOME is beyond me. They are very good at PBS.

Looks like D’ante Smith will be active tonight at OT backing up Adenaji.

Bengals looking at likely #2 seed playing Miami or Pittsburgh. Or if they lose tomorrow #3 seed playing Baltimore. There’s other scenarios but these seem the most likely as of now.
-
Took a huge hit there. Would need close to a miracle to get that #1 seed now.
-
Wow, that's right. I remember the game against the Redskins and winning that one in crazy fashion. I didn't know the Bills lost to the Colts to give us the #1 seed.
-
That’s crazy!
-
That’s correct. I don’t see KC losing another game but if they do it would be at LV.

As it stands right now the Bengals are the 3rd seed and would play the Chargers who have the 6th seed. If the Bengals win out they will have the 2nd seed. They would play the Dolphins. If the Bengals lose to the Ravens and get the 5th seed, they’ll play the Jags. All that said, I don’t think we’ll play the Chargers with the 3rd seed. If they win out they’ll have tie breaker with the Ravens. It’s more likely we play Baltimore at 3rd. If we have the 2nd seed, there’s a possible chance…wait for it…to play the Steelers. Here’s my list of likely teams the Bengals will play in the first round. Ravens, Dolphins, Chargers. That’s even if the Bengals get the first seed. I think they’d play the Chargers in that divisional round. What did I miss?
