What do you mean?
Just congratulations, but thought you guys might have taken it the wrong way. There were almost 30 views w/ no replies. Making sure I didn't say someone anyone took the wrong way

Did I say something wrong?

Congrats guys on the win yesterday moving your team to 500 on the season
. Bengals showed a lot of resiliency yesterday and they're on their way to bigger and brighter things whether its sooner or later. Wish that we had that same resiliency yesterday
but oh well. Great win for the Bengals and great job by Palmer
-
Great wins guys. That Denver game pretty much gave this team a lot of spirit, they've won 3 of their last 4 I believe. Hopefully you can keep this up throughout the rest of the season and maybe even get to the 9-10 win area. Heck, you could shock the world and win out the rest of the season
. That's a stretch but hey weirder things have happened this season alone

The Bengals orange jerseys were on the "Halloween" side, but they looked a helluva lot better than the white ones.

Bengals at home, and the Cowboys comin off a good victory. I'd rather the Bengals win, but I'm takin the Cowboys.
-
Giving my congrats to, the Bengals showed up and played very well today. Its a damn shame my team stayed in Atlanta

Agreed. There are a lot of quality defenses that have that bend but don't break attitude... aka, force offenses into long sustained drives rather high risk allow big plays defense.
Exactly, the Patriots last season were a top 10 "total" defense team (9th) but they made their money off not allowing you into the endzone. This season that's been replicated by the Eagles, Falcons, Giants and co. They'll allow the sustained drives but in the redzone they create turnovers or stop you from scoring. Seattle I don't think will hold up, I give them props for holding the Saints to 7 points but they're still living off that shutout of the Niners. They keep up their current efforts that shutout may not matter.
-
I'd grade defense off of points allowed, not total yards. A lot of people say that points allowed is misleading (since the offense can give up points by allowing a turnover to score) but to me its still better than "total" defense. In 00 the Titans had the #1 total defense, yet its the Ravens who we all talk about. Aikman's effiency ratings take a lot into little things, like yards per play, 3rd down %, points allowed, etc.

ESPN hates Atlanta and pretty much dubs us the worst sports town in the free world. Of course I do think that has half and half to do w/ ESPN/ABC's media competition being based in Atlanta. Let them tell it the fans booed the team after the game (completely false).

I got the Bengals +3, they got the homefield advantage.
-
Whew for a moment I thought you signed our Rookie S Etric Pruitt

Guys this is no time to start bench talks on Palmer. Right now your team is injured, really injured, we were in a similar spot last year. If the fans and even more importanta the team starts losin' faith in Palmer, the season may be over right now. Its a bad point, but I've seen teams rebound from bad starts, right now things are rough but you were in this game, the Bengals can still finish w/ a winning record, its only week 4.
-
Keep patient, remember, that Palmer still hasn't hit his stride but he's showing that he can play. Once he, Rudi and Chad get more involved, the offense should be back on track. A good offseason and adding more defensive talent especially in the secondary will probably skyrocket this team to the NFC North title.
-
I hope he takes the game off and rests up. We'll need him next week when we play against a real team.
Cue in "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" sound effect now
-
Hopefully we'll get a WR by then.
Doubtful
, but it couldn't hurt to get one. We'll trade you Peerless Price for.......just about anybody on that D and starts
-
Man that game had me watching from start to finish. Palmer and the O looked really tight early and not as fluid as they did last week. However, that last drive showed to me that Palmer is a player and will more than likely escape the Heisman curse. Miami put up a great battle, but you held on and like the cliche goes, "a win is a win is a win".
-
You guys better win this game. The Dolphins still have a good defense but that offense is bad, real bad.
-
I'll join simply because we play the Dolphins next season
-
Because that site is in this one's alliance. The one you showed is only 10.25x better though
-
Season starts for most the league tommorow (or today for you Eastern people) and everyone is right back at 0-0. Everyone's gotta shot at the playoffs and a shot at the SB starting tommorow afternoon. Best of luck to you guys throughout the season
-
Blitz and play a lot of 8 men in the box. Make Palmer force throws and put the game on his arm. Doesn't really have to be exotic packages, but bring the load and keep Rudi from setting the tone. That's easier said than done, but if Rudi is averaging 4-5 YPC the PA passing game will hurt, as it would for any team.
-
Yeah, it sucks, but hey no one can say we "escaped" the injury bug this year.
-
THANKS! Didn't want to see that team, glad they stayed in Cincinatti. I'll still be here during the season, but hope you guys have GREAT season, if anyone upsets the Ravens I hope its you guys.

Wish I knew, but you turn the ball over 5 times, 4 by your starting QB and 2 on the goal line you're going to lose. Mora said today that the loss is all his fault, he did not prepare for the game the way he should have and got caught up in the the media out of Tampa. Personally I'd rather have a coach that takes some blame but Mora really didn't do anything wrong in this game. The team gave up atleast 13 points off turnovers then left 14 on the table. The Bucs did show, that yesterday's team is what they're capable of being all the time.
