  1. I can remember watching them when they came on TV when I was a little squirt and loved every second of it. Medow lark Lemon , Curley Neal and many others the guy who came after MedowLark was great I wished I could remember his name but he was great with kids. I got to see them at the local high school in the 80s and it was a great show man they had the fans in the plam of there hands....Class act all yhe way. If you never got to see them live and you get a chance dont miss it youll love it for sure....

Man I couldnt take it, his Name was Geese Ausbey he was great....

  3. Yankees of the 1990's...def Best ever

    Great answer.

    The 1998 Yankees 114-48

Division series won 3-0 over Texas

    ALCS won 4-2 over Cleveland

World Series won 4-0 over San Diego

    Lets go YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I might buy your cock and bull story if the New York "Yank-me's" actually played REAL baseball in the American League. But seeing as how American League pitchers aren't enough of a man like every other player has to be to hit for themselves and puss out for a DH (reminds you a lot of kid's playing sandlot football using that cheesy "steady quarterback" rule doesn't it?) to do it for them, I cannot take any AL team seriously. Get rid of the gimmick DH rule, then come talk to me.

And this ain't a "hate N.Y. thing" either. The Mets play real ball, and I got no problem with them. Their World Series Win in '69 was an awesome thing to watch!

The 69 wws, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh it hurts so much....

  4. I wish you could put your team in a computer against my Oriole (1970) team just for fun to see the out come. But I know they both were GREAT teams. And yes I did mean baseball teams but I didnt say that at the beginning ,but Ilike all the other coments the guys made for football and basketball. :sure:

  5. Tripplett would be a good player to go after...the $$ will probably prevent him signing....

With the CBA hanging in the balance...this will be a very weird year.

We have $17 million dollars under the cap, I doubt it will be that hard to get him here.

Man I wonder how many teams in the leauge are that far under cap???? :o

  6. Well im almost a half a century old now and it isnt really that hard for me to pick the"GREATEST" team of my time here on earth. No doubt its the 1970 Baltimore Orioles, hands down the "Greatest " team from top to bottom ive ever seen. They had it all Pitching, fielding and batting. They had a great Manager in Earl Weaver and this club was unstopable. Check this out!!!!!!!!

Their record was a amazing "108-54", thats a winning % of .667 wow!!!! This was done against teams with the likes of the greatest players playing in the modern era of baseball. Players such as Tony Oliva,Frank Howard, Harmon Killerbrew, Carl Yas., Catfish Hunter, Micky Lolich, Jim Perry etc.etc. you get the idea. Lets see they had three golden glove players Davey Johnson(2b), Brooks Robinson(3b),and Paul Blair(cf). Brooks is the and will be the greatest 3b of all time. No one ever played 3b like him I can still see the REDS throwing up the hands in anguish (Bench) after some of the plays he made against them in the WWS. Paul Blair would play so shallow and dare players to hit over his head, no could go back on a hit ball like him.

The Pitching had (2) 24 game winners on the staff Mike Cuellar and Dave McNally and Jim Palmer won 20 and these guys could pitch. this was a time when the pitcher would go 7 , 8 innings all the time.

The the Division playoffs they drilled the TWINS 3-0. And that set up the great battle against the BIG RED MACHINE...The REDS with a impressive reccord of 102-60 were unstoppable in the N.L. they destroyed every team in its path they were loaded with great players such as Johnny Bench, Lee May, Tony Perez, Pete Rose, Bobby Tolan, Hal McRae, Tommy Helms, Dave Concepion, Don Gullett, Clay Carroll and many more. This could very easliy be the best team ive seen but for one thing, they didnt beat the "ORIOLES" that year in WWS. The Os went on to win in 5 games and made there mark in history as the best team of the 70s and for all time.

So if and when you bring on your team to try and beat this club (you know they cant) bring some good ammo cuz they will need it.( oh and I guess you can tell im a ORIOLE fan).

  7. Well as a suffering NY Knick fan now we have some one else who wont play team ball. Why do they keep making these trades?? I mean they didnt give up much for him but I cant see it helping them at all. Heck we have to many guards now. I also saw they were trying for Garrnet from MN. ,THAT WONT HAPPEN. Is MN. that crazy to give up a player like Kevin??? That wont happen. Any way its gonna take alot of everything to make the Knicks a contender in the now very tough Eastern conf.....

  8. Growing up watching Baseball on Saturday afternoons(before cable) it was the only game for many of us to catch all week. And there was Curt and Tony calling the games, Man it was great...Watching those great "ORIOLE" teams and oh yeah the rest of Baseball to. Man all the great players it got to see. Plus he was great at calling football to. He had the voice you knew in a minute and knew you were gonna get it done right with no sign of being a "HOMER" even when he called the Red Sox..He was one of my FAVS for sure!! :sure:

  9. Harrison would be a great pick up for the Bengals, seeing as it's one of their biggest needs, but do you think that New England is actually going to release him?

Hell yeah they let players go before Rod....

Im stoned nd confused blue ridge. Are you agreeing with me. An in the box ss is what harrison is. Marvin likes interchangable DBs. Harrison doesnt fit the bill. Archueletea does.

"Hey Spainster, good to see you on here again..... :sure:

  10. Semiotter, who the hell is that picture of. That is one of the hottest pictures I've ever seen

Agreed. Semiotter, man if you have her saved, I reccommend you move her to your sig where she can be bigger and better! B)

By the way, Hatteberg is good stuff. :P

Her name is Ashley-Massaro....And I dont know how to get it on my SIG. can any of you guys let me know how?

    :sure:

  11. ABC, NFL, REFS...Damn everyone of them KISSING :inlove: that Squeeler ASS! Did you all notice all the promos where of the freaking Squeelers!!! And I dont think they sold any tickets to Seattle fans(not that there is many anyway) the place was full of the Blue collar Steeler Fans..God even HANK JR. was wearing a GD Squeeler shirt.(I just threw away every Hank jr. cd I had S.O.B). Anyway this weekend sucked and that tight end Seattle had that poor guy couldnt catch a cold!!!!! :bengal:

  12. The most friendliest place has to be the Dome in Indy..Those fans don't have the killer instinct and need to learn how to talk smack..It can be a good thing for an opposing fan as well, since they don't have to deal with the **** and the taunting that you would receive at other stadiums, for wearing your team's apparel.

I went there this year for the last game with ARIZ. with my Bengal gear on(Iwas the only person ther with Bengal stuff on to) and all I got was a B engal suck one time walking in by the Boo zone(a bunch of drunk fans that stand and yell at other teams fans that go into park. But there were no CARD FANS to yell at so I was lucky I guess  . But once I got inside it was just funny looks and no oe said nothing at all....
