Who cares ?? Really, who cares ??
WHODEY !!!
Exactly! Anyway if this guy can make our team, then we are worse than i thought.
-
A big NO to Harrington. He's going to be cut anyway. Plus we dont want to pick up his salary. Even at a reduced price tag, I dont think we want him. He is a TERRIBLE decision maker. Does have a big arm though.
-
I think this addition has more to do with the punt return game than anything. I know Walter was great on Teams, but if Antonio can break some returns that would be huge! Of course just about anything would be huge compared to last years 31st ranked punt return unit.
-
Ok, and how much better would our LB's be if they had ANYONE on the d-line worth a ratsass ?? I'll tell you... They would all look like beasts because someone would be picking up the o-linemen
Agreed!
-
I have been wanting Pope for a month but now I'm having second thoughts. I think we can get a solid TE in R2/3. We have to get solid on D but I dont know enough to root for 1 guy. I'll just have to trust ML for now.
-
The Cromartie pimping starts NOW!
I want him, Iwant him, I want him!
If its in R2. Too much risk for R1 IMO.

3) I dont think it changes our draft strategy one bit, our reciever's are as follows
--Chad J, TJ Housh, Chris H, Tab P, K. Wash,
Henry and Washington may not be here next year.
-
There should be very little up front money for Greise if he comes. He has a hurt knee. We dont need to be saddled with two QB's with knee problems. We need to be able to cut him if he comes.

1. It's $700k and change, I believe.
2. It's Houston's 7th, which would be the top pick in the seventh round.
That pretty good compensation.

Krenzel is better than he is given credit for. He won at OSU. He won at Chicago. He may not throw the deep ball but he can hand off to Rudi and he is smart enough not to throw many picks.

Our current corp of LB is ok. Here me? Just OK. This is the same defense that REEKED against KC and against the Squeelers when it counted. If they were better than that, some of them would have been to a Pro-Bowl or at least an alternate. Some of them may have the potential for a Pro-Bowl at some time in the future, but there is no guarantee. Why would we not seek a bona-fide Pro-Bowl LB. Arrington has been to the Pro-Bowl and is probable to make it back if coached in the right system. Maybe if we sign Arrington, we cant extend Willie. I love Willie and he may have some Pro-Bowls left in him, but if our defense is better we wont need to score as many points on offense.

Hopefully the R7 pick we get will be a Special Teams ace. Thats where the real value of KW came into play. Two questions:
1. How much cap space does the loss of KW clear up for us? I assume around .5 million.
2. Is the R7 pick an extra pick provided the league or is it the Texans R7 pick?
The possible depletion of our WR corp with the probable losses of The Squirrel and The Jailb*tch makes me wonder how our draft strategy changes. Would we take Chad Jackson in R1 if he is available?
-
ML has repeatedly said that he plays a 4-3. I believe him. Why would you try to hide that in the offseason? Unless you are trying to hide your draft intentions. Hmmm... I wonder if ML likes to be secretive about the draft?

This topic is boosting my spirits! I want McCown for our backup. Even if it is for one year. He would love to be in our offense, boost his stats, and then move on if he wants.
-
And Big Sam? At that point, I think you're flying free, right?
(Oh, yeah, you really didn't need that image, didja?
)
That cracks me up! (pun intended)

they will go Grady Amas floated 3.5 said he would love to but the money is different.
Whaaa? Some one smack me. Do I have to be on something to understand this?

Another Sam Adams thread?
Hey, y'know, I have an idea, why don't we here at bengalszone bid on Sam? Obviously he doesn't have jack going on. Take up a collection and pay Adams to be the 'zone's house "big fatty." I'm thinking an initial offer of 52 steak dinners (1 a week), a daily McDonald's per diem, and a lifetime supply of XXXL "Bengalszone.com Rocks" t-shirts.
Hey, what is Willie's franchise called: Fatboy? Fat burger? I cant remember but how bout Willie giving up one of his restaurant's for him.

Harrington will fail, again. Kitna will be starting by week 5 and will finish out the season as the starter for the Lions.
Totally agree. Harrington cannot get it done. Harrington maybe the starter now, but not for long. Kit will start more games in Detroit than he would have in Cincy.
-
What a class act. He got more out of his ability than 99% of most professional athletes. You can say he he's no better than 8-8 but he was really not that talented. He just was so hard working and a TEAM player that he was able to lift his play above what one would expect from his physical abilities.
My favorite Kitna moments: Kitna to Shoebel against the Squeelers to win in the last second, and the NFL telling him he couldnt wear his hats with the cross on it even though he had been wearing them for a long time.(they only started caring about it when Kitna and Bengals started having some success.
Didnt Kitna throw another pass to beat the Squeelers at home? I cant remember now.
Any way, I can understand him going to Detroit. He has 100% better chance of starting ahead of Harrington than in front of CP.
I wish you well in Detroit!

Looks like Bunk could fall to us...
That would be AWESOME! But i dont think he makes it out the top 15. His stock is rising and dont think we can get him. Sam and Grady would be nice but it would eat up to much cap space. There cant be room for a QB, extend the OHogs, Dester, and sign these DT.
-
I agree. He's not interested in us. HE'S JUST USING US! Forget about Sam.
Forget about Grady Jackson. He is not athletic enough for this defense. There is no one out there right now that would be a major upgrade. I know that many are not happy with BRob and JT but they are average and thats about what is left on the DT market. Average.
-
If ML thinks he can play, then I'm buying it. Ohalete was picked up in desperation. This pick up does not have that kind of pressure. My only concern is... does he have anything left in the tank?
-
With so much info on the net, why purchase a guide? Is there anything in them that you cant get elsewhere?
-
Big name FA's are too dangerous because they are usually over-rated, and don't turn out to be what people expect.
Exactly what I have said before. If Kemoeatu was so great, why would the Ratbirds let him go so easily? I dont think that they even tried to retain him.

IMO Bunk is a top 10 pick and i would be ticked if they skip over him for Kiwanuku.
