  1. Peerless is overpiad, but only cause he played without vick and was injured and had no one to draw attention away from him...Vick has not had quality WR's to throw too...

The Falcons have several problems to overcome...first the offense (esp Vick) have to learn the West Coast Offense, and that's a challange for a QB cause it's so bloody complicated. Secondly their D is bad, it was ripped apart and bastardized by Wade "I don't care who's playing, I'm gonna run a 3-4" Philipps and they are in full rebuilding mode and will take some time to get better....I think the Falcons are a year away from being a winning team again.

I mean they have to be good, there two best players are Hokies. (Hall and Vick for you uninformed)

  2. I don't think there is any call to insult the man. Hell I do believe that most of us are first time fantasy players anyway so calling it dumb is probably the wrong thing.....rookie mistake? Maybe....But if Davis say, scores 25 TD's this year, then how dumb is the pick?

  3. Besides, if Perry proves himself this season we might get a first rounder for him next year.

I don't think they'd trade Perry. It's more likely that they let Rudi walk. That was another factor in my thinking: if Rudi was indeed a one-year wonder last year, then his value won't ever be higher. And if he's the real deal, are the Bengals willing to tag him to keep him (which they'd have to do)? Drafting Perry seems, at least to me, a pretty clear signal that they aren't.

Opps, mis spoke. I meant getting a first for Rudi...And I think the Bengals tag Rudi, at the very least transition him, but I expect him to be franchised depending on what happens....If Rudi even has an average season he has value, and he has shown that he wants to test free agency, but we need him....I think Watson is okay in spot duty, but is he an everydown, 20+ snap kinda guy? I have my doubts....For the long term sake of this team (don't make Palmer have to win every game on his arm, that's tough for any QB, much less an inexperienced one) we have to be plenty deep at running back this year.

But you're right it's water under the bridge...But hey, maybe the team did talk to the Dolphins? You just never know what the hell is going on with Marvin. But I think the Dolphins wanted a WR more than they wanted a RB.

  4. Who says WR is the only thing they would have taken? And I've already said that personally, I would trade Rudi for O-gun. So on that we'll just have to disagree.

Re the cap, if you trade Rudi, there's no issue. Near as I can figure, the Bengals have about $1 million in cap space right now. Trading Rudi frees up his $1.8 million. That gives you nearly $3 million, plenty of space to do a deal.

Well I did mention Rudi...But are you willing to leave the running duties in the hands of a rookie when our QB is as inexperianced as he is? Simply put we need two quality RB's more than a DE (now maybe I'd say something else if it was a young super run stuffing DT) that played opposite a great DE to make his job easier....Now O"whatshisname" would have a similar benefit playing opposite smith....But it's just too big a risk to take with the offense that the team could have. Besides, if Perry proves himself this season we might get a first rounder for him next year.

  5. Oh come on now...You've got to be digging for something to talk about...what do the Jets game and the Bucs game have in common? First games of the preseason. Hadn't taken snaps in ages....Plus he had a good game at Tampa, TJ didn't and that's where the pick came from. Plus, last years Jet's game was his first at NFL speed in horible weather....not to mention he bounced back from those picks to score two TD's himself. So no, there is no problem with Carson being home or away.

  6. The Kiwi Krush

QB B. Favre and J Garcia

    RB S. Alexander, S Davis, C Garner

WR D. Jackson, A. Toomer, D. Driver, and T Taylor

    K Kasay, and Janikowski

    Defense Broncos, vikings and bucs

The only pick I did was for the Broncos defense in round 16....I missed the draft and I never set my priority draft order....oops.

  7. Well the race is in the books and it was Greg Biffle, followed by Mark Martin and Dale Jarrett and Jimmie Johnson was out early and gave up his points lead. The funny part of that is when he was sitting on a few hundred points lead he was complaining about the new points system, now he's loving it.

  8. I still wonder how much the Pats used in their playbook not to give away too much tendencies of the team when they meet Dec. 12th.

Team did look great, impressive win tonight against the SB champs.

But then the same could be asked about what the Bengals didn't show tonight....This was more about how the teams match up, not how the coachs coach. Hell most coachs don't actually game plan for the opponent during the preseason....Saying that I have a feeling a lot of teams are gonna take a long look at what the Bengals did to dominate the Pats...Plus I'm really impressed with our second and third stringers for holding up against the Pats 1st Stringers

But it's only the preseason....If I'm not gonna condemn them for losing one, I'm not booking Super Bowl seats for winning one....But the two most important games during preseason are games 2 and 3....We won #2 in dominating fashion against a team that really really wanted to win, and I honestly expect us to win #3.....Sorry Falcon fans....

Game #4 is only guys trying to earn a roster spot as the 1st team only plays a series or two.

  9. We could have given them more than this...and done a deal like this...

How? Pro bowl reciever...The only one that we've got is Chad, and he ain't for sale...Warrick is injured.....

I won't even go into the cap problems that a deal with him would have caused.

We didn't have the firepower to pull this off....Maybe Rudi??? Then what? Nope, to much would have been given up....

  10. Seems that the commies don't like to be called out

Rockets center Yao Ming is being accused of disloyalty to China's Olympic team, according to a report in Toronto's Globe and Mail. And his actions have reportedly made China reconsider sending its players to the NBA.

Chinese officials reacted strongly to Yao's negative comments about his teammates Thursday, suggesting the NBA in the United States has corrupted their once "obedient child."

The report hinted China may "consider tighter restrictions" on Chinese players who want to play in the NBA, like heralded up-and-comer Yi Jianlian, the 16-year-old who is seen as the next Yao.

"The Chinese Basketball Association will consider more deeply and carefully about sending players to the NBA again," one report said.

Yao was "an obedient child" with a "very good reputation," an official was quoted as saying. "Now, he has changed, he's more like an American, he dares to say anything."

The 7-foot-6 center, who carried his nation's flag in the opening ceremonies, blasted his teammates after his team's 82-57 loss to Argentina on Thursday.

"I'm disappointed in my teammates," Yao said. "We gave up at the end of the game. I don't think some of my teammates cherish the honor to play for the country. ... Were they nervous? Or they would not take their responsibilities? We gave up easily every time we came across obstacles."

The comments sparked a harsh response from Chinese sports officials, who derided Yao for "splitting" the Chinese team with his "irresponsible" comments.

"How could he say that?" one official was quoted as saying. "How could he say that the other players weren't trying their best? Any irresponsible speech like his, any action to split the team, is definitely forbidden. This is the national team, this is the Olympics — any word by a player can affect others and can create difficulties in future matches."

Many Chinese fans came to Yao's defense, saying the star was only being honest. "Yao Ming is not always right, but in this case he is absolutely right," one fan wrote on a Chinese website. "The truth may hurt someone, but is it wrong to tell the truth?"

Against Argentina Yao was never a factor. China committed 15 turnovers and Yao was 1-for-7 from the field. Yao came into the game averaging 25.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. The center finished with 15 points on 6-for-13 shooting. China had a total of 23 turnovers and Argentina had a 40-29 rebound advantage.

China is one of four teams in Group A with a 1-2 record and it finishes against two of the others — Italy and reigning world champion Serbia-Montenegro. China must win at least one to advance to next week's quarterfinals, something it has done only once in seven previous Olympic appearances.

  11. I'm hoping that Nate Webster's midget ass doesn't get lifted 10-feet in the air like Da f**king Solja!!!

Okay, please explain to me how someone can be 6 feet tall and 235 pounds and be a midget? I mean Ray lewis barely has 1 inch and less than 10 pounds on Webster...Does that make Lewis a midget?

  12. Team USA is a joke. I can't believe some people insist on calling them the dream team....It's not that the players aren't skilled....But damn, the entire unit is poorly designed to play international level basketball. I honestly don't see them winning a gold....
