The game is meaningless for the Jags, they're already locked in to the 5 spot, so "sit 'em" seems axiomatic. But that would mean that Leftwich ends up taking his first snaps in more than a month in a wild card playoff game. Were we talking about a Brady or Manning, someone with playoff experience, it wouldn't be a problem, but this would also be Byron's first playoff appearance.But put him out there to shake off any rust and not only do you risk him reaggravating the injury, but you also can't rest anyone else. You have to give him max protection and max opportunities with the first stringers, or you simply invite disaster. Meanwhile, both your likely opponents, Cincy and NE, will be sitting big chunks of their squads, and healing up.Me, I'd keep him on the sidelines.
