The Cincinnati Bengals might be joining their NFL colleagues in the lottery business.

According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, the Bengals have been in talks with the Ohio Lottery about partnering up in a scratch-off ticket venture.

...

Per the report, a winning Bengals lottery ticket would include cash as well as potential prizes, including tickets or jerseys.

No, no, no, no, no. The Bengals lottery ticket works like this:

Hamilton County taxpayers pay for the manufacture of the tickets.

When you buy one, Mike Brown gets 100% of the sale price.

There are no winners.

Actually, thanks to the complete paralysis of Cincinnati vs. Hamilton county, and the new purple bridge, Northern Kentucky has been making out quite well pulling in post-game traffic.

That counts as a winner, right? ;)

As if making money is a bad thing. But before excoriating Mike Brown as a money-grubbing tightwad, please remember that he has refused to sell the naming rights to the stadium named in honor of his father. That decision reflects well of the man.

Couldn't agree more and can give credit where credit is due. I like showing some honor to his father in that capacity and would far rather that than the "www.squirrelsh*t.com stadium" or some nonsense like that.
