Rules for the Bengalszone Forums.

1. Don't attack each other.

Personal attacks on others will not be tolerated. Challenge others' points of view and opinions, but do so respectfully and thoughtfully without insult and personal attack. Specific types of personal attacks are but are not limited to the following:

Racial, sexual, religious or ethnic slurs or attacks directed against another member.

Profanity directed against another contributor.

2. Don't make the mods' jobs harder than they have to be

If you disagree with something a moderator did then fine, disagree and let us know, but do it politely via the private messaging system. Don't go around posting on the forums complaining about it.

3. Do not "Spam"

If you've got nothing to contribute but a link to your site, please find another board. Members who register and immediately start posting spam or links to their site may be banned. Existing members will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. PMing members with a link or asking members to visit your site may also result in a ban from the forums.

Links to other Cincinnati Bengals sites, sites having a Cincinnati Bengals message board, porn sites, or any other site we deem unacceptable are not allowed in your signature and/or username and will be edited out. If you continually break this rule you will be banned from the forums. If you've got a Bengals site, list it in your profile. You must have at least 50 posts before you can put any other sites in your signature.

If you want to have your site listed on Bengalszone.com, contact us with this form and we may exchange links with you.

Other than sites in the Fan2Fan Alliance, no links to NFL team fansites, except for teams not represented in the F2FA.

4. Do not use more than one member account concurrently

Use only one user account. If you want a different username please contact the Administrator to request a name change. Making a new account after a ban/suspension will result into a permanent ban.

5. Be courteous: Avoid duplicate threads and posts

Do not post the same discussion more than once on a discussion forum or on many forums. Duplicate discussions can be frustrating for other members, especially for those whose time and energy is limited. Weeding through the same discussion in multiple locations can be not only frustrating, but is also very annoying. Duplicate discussions will be deleted. Repeated offences could result in a ban.

6. About your account features

Usernames:

You can use any username you like under three simple conditions. It must not be huge enough to mess with the skin tables & it must not be insulting to another member or impersonating another member. Usernames with a .com will be changed.

Avatars:

No porn or insulting avatars allowed. Please do not use profanity on your avatar.

Signatures:

Please keep in mind the 56k users. Place normal images in your signatures that are not huge enough to mess with the forum tables. Keep them no bigger than 580x250.

Can contain no more than 4 lines of text.

No profanity or obscene pictures are allowed in signatures.

While we don't allow nudes or profanity in signatures, avatars or posts, some images may not be safe for viewing at work. To disable viewing images that may get you fired: Go to your "My Controls" panel, and on the sidebar, find the link to "Board Settings." Within, you should find an option that allows you to turn off signatures, avatars and images in posts.

Other than sites in the Fan2Fan Alliance, no links to NFL team fansites, except for teams not represented in the F2FA.

Any signatures that do not follow these guidelines will be removed without warning.

Images in posts:

Make sure they are no wider than 580px. If you can't resize the image down to the max. size, don't post it.

No profanity or obscene pictures are allowed.

Any images that do not follow these guidelines will be removed without warning.

If you constantly break this rule, your ability to post images on the forums will be removed.

7. Swearing

The forums have cuss word censors in place for a reason. The censor blocks out a couple letters of the cuss word so members will still know what the word is. If you are going to swear, don't do it excessively and do not try and fool the censor. Trying to circumvent the board censor may result in a vacation from the board for the offender.

8. Smack Talk

We have a forum for smack talk, it's called Smack Central. Use it if you intend on talking smack. If you talk too much smack outside of the smack forum you will be labled as a Troll and will be restricted to only posting in the smack forum.

About Bans:

If you have been banned it means you've done enough, crossed enough lines, or irritated the mods enough that you're banned until we decide if and when you are allowed to return. Constantly asking about when you can come back will not help your case.

You can appeal any ban if you think it's unjust by contacting the administrator, but if you choose to do this, do so calmly, maturely, and be ready to apologize if you were in the wrong. That won't guarantee you a trip back, but being a jerk will guarantee you won't get back in. Constantly asking or, god forbid, harassing mods over it will be futile.
