Whur CHad At?
per ESPN.comhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2308407Can you say Laurence Taylor II??
andybren
As his attorney said, it's strange to be adding charges at this point. But for one thing, you can be sure that $16k bail will get raised at his next appearance. Doesn't look like a Jamal Lewis-type deal is in the cards. The guy's done. bengalboomer7
I'm willing to take that bet on the guys being done. Some hot shot politician with luxury boxes to Skins games will take care of him.Betcha he doesn't even see the inside of a jail cell However, I interpet the extra charges as meaning he has some hot shot prosecuter with future aspirations that's gonna make a name out of himself one way or another
ArmyBengal
The guy "looks" to be done, but we need not look any further than the Baltimore Ravens to know anything can happen... Oh yeah, Kyle Boller SUCKS !!!WHODEY !!!
Dan2330
What a world class BUM! It amazes me how athletes can continue to get themselves into troubling situations like this. I personally hope they throw the book at him for this, send a message that sports athletes (especially NFL players) are not above the law. cincy9275
threatening people with a gun is not that unfamiliar to a court of law. it is really up to the prosecutor is he going to do this like everyone else or is he going to go after him because of who he is . by the state adding charges they either don't have a good case or the want to really rack him. he better hope he has a real good attorney. if he is convicted i don't see him doing more than 3 years at the most . most likely he will get like 5 years parole and a huge fine . and if he did do 3 years he would only be 26-27 when he got out he still could play . but no way does he do anything close to 45 years . the courts will try to scare you in to accepting a plea bargain so they can look good and get paid and that's all that is . being he has a lot of money i believe that's what they will go after. then after this he will be in civil court where the people that he threatened will sue him to try to get his cash . that's what will happen
LB51
Looks like Mr Taylor may have a cell mate. Maybe they can practice the "bump n run" on each other.
Whur CHad At?
They both won't go to jail becuase they are celebrities, and if you are a celebrity, you are "above the law" no matter how much you argue it, they are. cover2
Do you remember a basketball player named Williams, who shot the limo driver and then covered up the crime? There was no way he was going to get off, right? Wrong....he walks.Taylor will not do too much time if any at all. Pro athletes get the best deal money can buy and very very few get nailed. I just hope the boys and girls from Enron go down....
Whur CHad At?
I agree Cover2.Richard Hatch also went down, so that was good I hate all of this hoopla with athletes, celebs and political leaders. What ever happened to "All me are created equal?" All I have to say is bull s**t!
kingwilly
They both won't go to jail becuase they are celebrities, and if you are a celebrity, you are "above the law" no matter how much you argue it, they are.not so fast...I think that the money that rich people, including celebrties, have gets them a much greater chance of geting off but don't forget some recent celebrities that did NOT get off so easy or aquitted. http://www.rotten.com/library/crime/celebrity/plenty of pro athletes are/were in prison...don't be so naive. Strawberry, Carruth, Taylor, Manley, Tyson, J. Lewis, Gooden, Newton, Morris, etc. etc. etc...their money and celebrity didn't do them much good. cover2
I beg your pardon. Most of the people on your list make the case that celebrities get off and O.J. Simpson is the poster boy, Rush Limbaugh.... Micheal Jackson is guilty as can be and has bought his way out several times...not to mention several members of the Baltimore Ravens. I assure you their money did do them good for the ones that were sent to prison would have had a much longer stay had they not had the bucks to buy the best council money can buy. It makes a huge differnce It's not even close!
bengalboomer7
Uhhh, since when did a third round pick making about 750,000 and probably isn't well known outside Cincy or WV become a celebrity? These are two different scenariosYou guys are failing to check your facts. Taylor has a heresay case with loopholes all over, hell, their star witness is the guy that supposedly robbed Taylor, while Henry's eyewitness is a police officer, and a group of strangers.Henry is cooked, roasted, fried, whatever grilling choice you desire. DONE
cover2
Uhhh, and I clearly remember Oj Simpson in white ford bronco on the San diego freeway and it looked bad very bad.............but he walked. Nobody said Henry is a Celebrity. Lets just see what 750 thousand will buy him. Yes, he needs to spend some time in a hole, but will he and for how long? I hope I'm wrong. Flordia is not a good place to get in trouble, not that any place is, some places being better than others.
