derekshank Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 I've pretty much adopted Marlon McCree as my first choice for FA. He had the 2nd most tackles on the entire Panthers team (74)... and that's saying a lot for a really good defense. They also drafted Thomas Davis, so he's not going to want to stay, when they are paying a young guy like that a lot of money. He's a SS... and has the ability to play FS, so he has the coverage skills, and he was paid the base salary this year. With bigger names like Archuletta, Chavous, and Schulters... we should be more than able to get him at a reasonable price. Quote
derekshank Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Oh yeah... I'm also okay with Hair On Fire's idea of going for Vanden Bosch. Seems like a good guy to go for... he's still really young, knows how to win, and probably has his best years ahead of him. If we could manage both him and McCree that would leave us wide open in the draft to go for whatever we want in the first round (all you offense pimping psychos out there) Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 I say we go after the least expensive, oldest, done, player in FA since we are on a tight budget. We only have like $20 mil to spen, so we need to be careful. Quote
