walzav29 Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I know it doesn't mean much, but I'm trying to get an idea of how Palmer performs in big games. Does anyone know how he did in the Bowl game against Iowa or any other bowl games? Please post it! Quote
haf5er Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I know they beat the crap out of Iowa, not sure how he did though. He played real well against Notre Dame that year too. Quote

Does anyone know how he did in the Bowl game against Iowa or any other bowl games? Please post it! Carson smoked them in the second half. At that point I knew that this guy was no David Klingler or Akili Smith. While I thought they should go for defense because that is where they needed the most help, I was hoping they would take him. I was very impressed with his performance that night. I think Iowa was also one of the top ranked defenses in the nation that year too.http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/foo...03-orange_x.htm Quote
walzav29 Posted January 8, 2006 Author Report Posted January 8, 2006 Answered my own question:Palmer, Carson 21 31 303 0 That's great. I'm a nervous wreck! I can't wait to kill them Steeler Drunks! Quote
duus Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 Sweet look back! He took care of that Black and Gold team in the big game ...now, 3 years later, he'll have a sense of deja vu against this Black and Gold team.Looking for a repeat! And, after being reminded of that, I have renewed hope! My prediction ... 38-17 Bengals!Sweet. Quote
Columbusbengal Posted January 8, 2006 Report Posted January 8, 2006 I know they beat the crap out of Iowa, not sure how he did though. He played real well against Notre Dame that year too. Both ND and Iowa were ranked in the top five defenses at the time USC played them. Both of them beat my Wolverines that year and held them to very few points. I was astounded watching Carson just pick their defenses apart. It was like there wasn't even an opposing team on the field with USC. I knew while watching the Rose Bowl that the Bengals had the number one draft pick and just hoped beyond hope that they wouldn't screw up and pick Leftwich or someone like that (or trade the pick like a lot of fans wanted).Thank goodness! It's a lot easier to fill in needs on the defense than to find a franchise QB like Palmer. The Bengals will just improve. I don't expect them to win today, but I will expect it by the end of next season! Quote
