Are the Bengals tipping off their plays??

Some avid Steeler fans have been going over game film of the Bengals offense and

they think they have detected some mannerisms that tip off if its a pass play or run play..

1. Every single passing play Palmer licks his fingers.. Doesnt do it when the team runs the ball.

this is known as the Rodney Peete.. He used to do the same thing..

2. Chad Johnson....If its a pass play his left foot is Back in his stance.. If its a run play his right foot

is back in his stance .. He sets up his release..

3. Bobbi Williams...simple to read.. On passing plays his head is way back in his stance.. On running plays he's allmost looking at the ground....

they've gone over allot film and they say it holds true allmost to a fault...

They passed their info to Steeler management just to be sure....

If its true do the Bengals know or care about this???

Thoughts???

Sounds to me like a bunch of fans with WAAAAY too much time on their hands and absolutely no life whatsoever

I don't really care if it's true or not, this in itself is hilarious :lmao:

IT ALSO SHOWS THEY ARE waaaaaaaaaaaaaay MORE SCARED OF US THAN THEY LEAD ON TO BE.

Of course, with Cowher's playoff record(esp on the road, 0-3) the fans are willing to help as much as they can :lmao:

My thought is - how embarassing to the coaching staff to be getting tips from fans. Would any exec. actually pass on info. from a fan to the team itself? Bizarre.

I have the balls enough to tell Chad personally which I did tonite via phone...

I asked him if he sees Palmer lick his fingers before a pass play and he said yes.. I asked him if he knew he had his right foot in back on run plays and left one back on pass and he said "maybe".. I told him about Bobbi Williams head up on passes and down on runs and he said he'd pass it on to Bobbi..

Hell if a defense knows what you going to do the d-linemen get a better jump out of the gate or can hold their ground on run plays....same with cornerbacks getting a bit of an edge...

Does it mean much ? maybe not but he seemed interested enough to listen about it.......Every llittle edge counts..

aight, i just watched a couple of plays from the bengals/lions game, and that is not true at all. carson licked his hands on various plays and chad's stance is whatever he feels like doing whether he's got his right foot or left foot in the back. it doesn't matter cuz they aren't giving anything away. i didn't check the bobbie williams thing though...

This is all so much crap. Knowing the play is one thing, stopping it is another. I remember Jerry Kramer in "Instant Replay", telling Alex Karras during a game when the Packers were going to run or pass, and literally dared him to stop them from doing what they planned. Needless to say, Karras and the Lions didn't stand a chance of stopping them.

I just watched the first two drives of the last Bengals/Steelers game... and Bobbie isn't giving anything away. His head was way back on almost all the plays... and when it was to the ground, it brodcasted nothing... a couple passes and runs.

I didn't watch any more than just the first two drives, because I have better things to do with my time than watch Bobbie Williams' head.
