duus Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 OK, let me try again. I will simply start driving from Pittsburgh on Sunday, heading through eastern Ohio. I am looking for a place to stop and watch the Bengals game with Bengals fans. Not Steeler fans. I want a place where I can get away from Steeler Nation. I want to at least be around fellow fans wearing Orange and Black. If you know of a place to stop as close to the Pennsylvania border, please PLEASE let me know. Do I sound desperate? If I do, it's probably because I am Quote

ArmyBengal Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Eastern Ohio is a barren wasteland.Ugh. Sounds like I would need to go all the way to Cincy ... probably better that way ... just a very long drive. Don't think it matters much... During my trip home to Cincinnati, I was more than disappointed at the so called "fans" of the team. No matter where I went, you saw Bengals gear and people wearing it. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to see, but these were the same people laughing at me last year when I proudly wore my Chad Jersey and declared one more year equals the playoffs. Some "fans" are less interested in the Bengals then I could believe. Example... While in BW3's on the levy, people decked out in Bengals gear (Hat, Jersey, blinking neon signs attached to them) gave me sh!t for cheering to loud due to interupting their conversation about something that has nothing to do with the game. This was prevalent through most of the 3 weeks I was home for. The team doing well is just another reason for many to drink a few (Like you need a reason??) as opposed to really being a fan who follows the team and cares about what's going on. San Antonio has more interested fans in the Bengals than most I ran into IN Cincinnati. Good luck in your endeavor and save yourself the trip all the way back to Cincinnati. Probably the reason many told me to watch the game at home as opposed to going somewhere to watch it with "fans". Oh well...WHODEY !!! Quote

We all respect one another and yell A LOT! Quote
jungleman Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 duus just make it all the way to cincinnati and paul brown stadium and get in the game. Quote
bengals4ever Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Massillon has a BW3. Big football town there. Might be more squeeler fans though. I do not. Ask over on the bengals.com message board. There are a few Massillon bengal posters in there. Quote
jjb10588 Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 I'm from philly if those fans asked you to quiet down we would probably go shut the f**k up and watch the game then but atleast there are no philly fans like that even when were losing we go to the team to let them know that but we still root for them Quote
duus Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 OK guys ... I've decided that I am simply going to head to Columbus on Sunday, and then proceed south. I doubt I am going to go to the game, so I want to find a great place between Cincy and Columbus where it will be rocking with Bengal fans. I CANNOT HANDLE STEELER FANS, and if you think it is a place where some will show up, well, I don't want to be there. I put up with them daily, so I want only fellow Orange & Black for this one! Will I simply need to go all the way to Cincy for such a thing? If so, what's the best place that is a bit north and I can easily get back on the interstate from (I need to get back home for an early appointment on Monday). Please help! Quote
