combatbengal Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 First the flaw. I found a flaw in Madden 2006 for PS2. They can not announce Houshmandzadeh's name peoperly. They don't even call him Houch!Question. Why don't the NFL use the wishbone or QB option? Are they protecting the QB's? There are some tough QB's out there that I think can take it.I'll end this post by saying Merry Christmas and the Bengals will win today!!! Go Bengals Quote
Kirkendall Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Yea, the X-Box version announces TJ name wrong too. Funny. Quote

Go BengalsAs far as the option goes, there's probably only one QB in the league with enough athletisism tp run it and that's Mike Vick. It's a system that is geared to a very athletic QB in general. Another reason you don't see it is because of the strength of NFL D-linemen. Any type of D-line penetration blows the option up. It's a very predictable offense and easy to stop. Most guys in the league grew up either playing in an option offense or defending against one. It's not very complex;therefore, it's easy to read and stop. Every now and then you'll see it in a short yardage situation when the offense is lookin to throw something a little different at the defense, but not very often.hope that helps, Combat. Quote

In the NFL, most of your defensive guys are just as fast as the offense. It still works some in college, Navy looks quite good running it, but no NFL prospect will go to a college where the option is run because your not prepared for the league. Quote

You've got to admire the accuracy. The last time John Madden announced a Bengal game he said TJ's name differently every opportunity. Quote
