Bengalbob Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Straight from Hobson . . ."PITTSBURGH _ In an effort to stop the Steelers’ running game, the Bengals turned to a rookie when they activated defensive lineman Jonathan Fanene in place of veteran Duane Clemons. Clemons surfaced on the injury report late in the week, but word from the Bengals’ sideline was that he’s healthy. The Bengals already made a move on the line when they ruled out injured tackle Bryan Robinson (foot) and started Shaun Smith in his spot at left tackle.Good moves in my opinion. The Smith thing is no surprise, but I think it's time for us to get a look at what Fanene can do in live action. I thought he did very well in the pre-season when given a chance. Hopefully he'll have an opportunity to shine today. Quote
AMC Posted December 4, 2005 Report Posted December 4, 2005 Interesting on the Fanene move. But he sounds like an awesome worker in practice. Sounds like he earned it.Clemons and Askew gotta be on their way out... Quote
