On December 5, 2004, the Bengals completed an improbable comeback when they defeated their longtime nemesis, the Baltimore Ravens, 27-26. Carson Palmer lead the Bengals back as they scored 24 points in the fourth quarter, with 450 yards of total offense.

Since that game the Ravens have a combined record of 5-11. Many feel that that game lead to the downward slide of that team and franchise. Their dominant hold on the Bengals was now over. Cincinnati swept the season series this year and rolled up over 760 yards while scoring 63 points on their defense.

I believe that a Bengals win on Sunday might spell the same fate for the Steelers. They are getting older at many key positions and their defense is not feared like it once was. Other than Troy Polamalu, they have no real playmakers on that side of the ball.

On offense, Bettis is getting older and slower and they rely on defensive turnovers for field position and too many gadget plays with El and Ward. Ben is an upgrade over Maddox but the loss of Burriss has been big.

After Sunday, it will be time to meet the new boss. And it won't be the same as the old boss.

Agreed. The first time Carson faced the Ravens, they put up only 9 points. Since then, it has been 27, 21, and 42 (all victories). Unfortunately, the first 3 times he has faced the Steelers, they put up 17, 14, and 13 (all losses). It's taken two more games, but now we see the same breakout ... on the road ... late in the season ... first week in December. Bring it! 31 points for Carson & Co. this Sunday. And whispers of whining Steeler fans walking out of the stadium wondering if Chad had somehow tricked them into amplifying their own crowd noise.
