Offensive tackle Stacy Andrews also was spotted working out under the guidance of defensive line coach Jay Hayes and defensive coordinator Chuck Bresnahan.

Andrews, a second-year player, is 6-feet-7, 350 pounds, and there is word the Bengals want to see what he could do as a defensive tackle.

Does this mean he sucks as a tackle or he has potential as a run stuffer.

This has been talked about before, and I don't think this is routine. Andrews does not suck, he is very athletic and fast and will be Andersons replacement some day. He and Kooistra are the best backups in the conference, and both will be starters for us in the future. We all have said that they need to stop the run and I have said Andrews is that answer and this Sunday they might show it. It would be great to know that you have a person that is good enough on O and D to play both ways when needed. Look how New England did last year with putting a WR as a CB. We have to do something on D if this team wants to go to the playoffs. I think they did a upgrade with S. Smith and I would like to see them upgrade running Andrews on the D a few plays. Just a thought :o:o:o

Andrews might be used on goal line situtations on defense since Brian Robinson has been ruled out for Sunday.

Also I think Nate Webster will not be active Sunday

One major problem for Stacy on defense is, at 6-7, he's going to have problems keeping his pads low and getting leverage on a center or guard who's going to be 3-5 inches shorter.

There is no doubt that Stacy has the size, strength and athleticism to play on the defensive line. Question is, does he have the Shaun Rogers-John Henderson-Pat Williams attitude and mindset to do so?

If we do this, I think it's a step in the right direction. It's sending a sign to the down linemen we have now that says "You guys suck!" No other way of putting it. Luckily, we have the best damn offense in the universe (I don't care about the Colts!) I get sick when I watch our D against a decent run team. Put the biggin out there I say!

WHO-DEY!?
