walzav29
For a minute I was bummed that the Bengals were not undefeated at home this year, since they were undefeated at home during both Super Bowl years. Then it occured to me. Neither of those Super Bowls were played in Riverfront stadium. The fact that they are winning on the road is phenomenal. I'll tell you what. It is not a forgone conclusion that the Bengals are out of the running for homefield. Once they beat the $^%# out of the Colts the homefield talk will start to heat up. As good as Peyton is, he would have trouble throwing the ball with that Riverfront wind blowing come playoff time. Very interesting. 1 more thing. After the Steelers "Out-Musceling" the wimpy Bengals they could very well end up surprised.
Bengal_Brad
Home field is not out of the question for the Bengals at the moment. Within a month we will have a very good idea of how they stand for the playoffs. Three things have to happen for Home Field to be a possibility. Bengals must beat the Colts on the 20th and Steelers on Dec 4th. Then someone has to beat the Colts again. We will know in a month.
derekshank
I'm more interested in just getting the bye than the homefield advantage. We have to win the division to do that... and beating the Colts and Steelers should go a long way in doing that... but both of those games are HUGE question marks.I'm hoping the Colts just mop the floor with the Texans, so they will come into Cincy not having been really tested yet.
